New Iberia native, transferred to Georgia in the early Eighties, currently living in F.S. Arkansas. First Saints game in 1971 when we beat the cowgirls in Tulane Stadium. Saints fan for life. Quite a few Cajuns in area even before Katrina, more here now. Locals gave me my cajuncommando handle due to my fish n hunting prowess. The price of fuel and probably my age have really slowed me down but still go hunting and fishing every chance I get. Those are my main hobbies along with Saints following and gardening.

Closed Practice Day 5. Coach Interview

Today's practice is a closed session, so I'll post what I can, and will give the Highlights when Sean is interviewed in Livestream.

Wide Receiver Steve Hull Retires

Steve was already placed on IR, but has decided to hang up his cleats. Sad news for the young man, but his strength of character shows through in his Instagram. Good luck Steve!

Decree Places Games in Jeopardy at Superdome

A Federal Mandate limiting the number of hours New Orleans Police officers can work, is causing staffing problems for tonight's game against the Tennessee Titans.

Saints Looking for O-line Depth

The Saints put in a Waiver Claim for RT Michael Bowie who was released by the Seahawks. Has Camp led to concerns with depth at the Position.

Victor Butler Seen in Walking Boot

Victor Butler was seen after the scrimmage in a walking boot. Hopefully nothing serious, but let the speculation begin.

Toon Landed on Champs Leg in Thursday Practice.

NOLA has a photo gallery possibly explaining Champs absence in camp. Bailey's right ankle appeared to have rolled up under wide receiver Nick Toon after Toon beat Bailey and Kenny Vaccaro deep for a 50-yard reception from Drew Brees during seven-on-seven Thursday afternoon.

Why Byrd had Surgery

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that Byrd had surgery in LA by Dr. Robert Watkins to create space in his spinal cord and alleviate possible bruising that can come with contact. Byrd's last visit was in July when he received his pre-training camp update. The safety is ahead of schedule with his rehab from the surgery, which was elective and precautionary. He'll take his time getting back as he does more football activity, but the Saints like where he is currently.

Lewis' Contract being restructured.

The Saints shifted some money around for Lewis to give them $1.2 million in salary cap savings in 2014 and $1 million in savings for 2015. The team turned $2.1 million into bonus money in 2014 to spread the cap hit.

BDP visiting Redskins...

The Redskins released last year’s starting center Will Montgomery and the prevailing thought has been that Kory Lichtensteiger would be moving from guard to center for the 2014 season. That may not be set in stone, however. Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Redskins are visiting with Brian de la Puente on Wednesday.

Good Luck in Detroit Jedidiah

Jed Collins, who spent the last three seasons in New Orleans, has signed in Detroit today. Collins may know the offense better than any of his new teammates, as the Lions’ new offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi was previously the Saints’ quarterbacks coach.

Charges dropped against Joe Morgan...

Don't get too excited... could be re-instated. GRETNA, La. (AP) — Jefferson Parish prosecutors have dismissed a drunken-driving charge against New Orleans Saints wide receiver Joe Morgan, who has accepted entry into the district attorney's office diversion program. The prosecutors could resurrect the charges in the future if Morgan does not complete the program.
