I think what makes Tony Romo so great is that he is still just an ordinary person. I know he's been compared to Favre with his style of football, but this is something that I have always liked about Favre as well. Romo (and Favre) seems like the kinda guy that you would run into at the grocery store and he wouldn't act like he is a celebrity QB. Check this article out:

I know we had PLENTY of mistakes in the game, but there is one play that sticks in my mind even more then the blocked punt at the end of the game.

In the 3rd Quarter we were up 14-7 and the Cardinals had a 3rd and 17. Greg Ellis got his hand on a Kurt Warner throw and it landed in the hands of Hightower only to convert the 3rd down. Poor Defense? I don't think so. To me it was a flukey play that ultimately shifted the momentum of the game.

The sad thing is that this play is the one that stands out in my mind the most, but there were probably 10 other plays that were just as weird. Overall, this was the strangest Cowboys game I've seen in awhile (probably since the Buffalo game last year).

Our Confused Defense

Is it just me or does our defense seem confused all of the time. I hate this zone crap. The last 2 games especially our defensive secondary has seemed very confused.

There was one particular play at the end of the game that 2 guys were on their number 3 or 4 receiver an Houshmanzadah walked into the endzone. Don't we have the talent to just man up and double with a safety every once in a while. Simplify!

I feel like we have a GREAT defense with POOR coaching. I really don't know what Brian Stewart is thinking. I wish we had an Andy Reid style defense. Blitz! Blitz! Blitz! Cause havoc! Force turnovers! and man up with the talented DBs that you have. Yeah, every once in a while you give up a big play, but that's okay because your are creating a lot more turnovers too!

After reading all of the thoughts about Emmit Smith's Commentary stuff, it inspired me to come up with a list of Commentators, Journalists, Analysts, etc. in Radio or TV.

In no particular order here is my list:

THE GOOD

Mike Greenberg
Mike Golic
Mike Tirico
Scott Van Pelt
Rich Eisen
Adam Schefter
Colin Cowherd
Joe Buck
Troy Aikman

THE BAD

Joe Theisman
Chris Collinsworth
Skip Bailess
Bryant Gumbel
Stephen A. Smith
Andy Gretsch
Sean Salisbury

THE UGLY (They need to be on Radio ONLY)

Jon Clayton
Dan Dierdorf
Tony Cornheiser (although he is good too)
Bill Walton

Really all commentators are paid for HOT AIR.

Draft Options and Point Values

I was watching NFL Total Access last night and Schefter started talking about the point values of each draft pick. He was specifically talking about Dallas trading up to get DMac and what they would have to give up. I haven't been on the TRADING UP BUS like some fans are. I have been of the opinion that we stay we where we are, or trade back for something next year and a later pick.

After watching Total Access, I decided to look up the point values of each pick. Here's the link:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/news/story?id=2410670

After looking at this point system, I am for sure not on TRADE UP BUS, because DMac won't slide past Oakland and our first 3 Draft Picks (22, 28, 60) won't quite be enough to trade with them.

Although, there are a couple of situations where I think I might actually trade up now.

Situation 1

Leodis McKelvin or DRC are still on the board at number 9. Trade 22 and 28 with the Bengals or Saints to get 9 or 10. Then we can go with Jamaal Charles or Chris Johnson in the 2nd.

Situation 2

I don't think McKelvin will slide as far as 15, but I think there is a chance DRC might. If that is the case we can trade picks 22 and 60 to move up to 15.

Situation 3

Trading our 28 and 60 to move up to 17 or 18. Haha. I really don't have a good reason besides ticking off some Philly fans. There is nothing better than seeing a mad Eagles fan. If we did this we would move up right in front of Philadelphia.

Anyways, I been going through some doable situations now that I have seen the point value chart. Think it through and share your draft strategy.

Why Does Everyone Hate Roy Williams?

After reading several diaries (and the comments posted in them), I've found that a lot of people don't like Roy Williams anymore. I will have to agree that this year he had his worst season, or so it seemed.

I have never thought we have used him the way he should be used. When I heard that in 2007 Roy Williams would be playing closer to line then what he was used to, I got excited. Coverage has never been his strong suit, it has always been "jacking people up." This season it was disappointing because I still don't think they used Roy the way they should have. When are they going to unleash him? I wish they would move him to linebacker.

After reading all of the comments of how ready fans are to pawn Roy off to another team, I decided to research our Teams stats. Here's what I found:

Roy Williams lead are team in 2007 with 73 solo tackles (2nd Best in Career). Bradie James was second with 64. Williams also assisted on 19 other tackles.
His best was in his rookie season (2002) with 88 tackles. This was the only other time that he led the team in tackles.

So after reading all this, it made me wonder why everyone bashes him so much. Give some of your thoughts on why you LIKE or DON'T LIKE Roy anymore? Why? Why Not?

Is it that he just not as exciting to watch as he used to be? Because he still gets the job done.
