schilling has cards on his list

curt schilling has filed for free agency and on his blog, he includes saint louis as a team he would consider playing for/signing with if he had the chance. http://38pitches.com/2007/10/30/free-agency-weird/#more-110

he is what, 40 years old? i would take a stab at him, one year deal, maybe an option year also. yes or no and what kind of contract would you give him?

larussa a pirate?

so, jim tracy got fired as the manager of the pirates. tony's main supporter, walt is now gone and i think tony mostly likely will not return to saint louis. what are the chances of him landing with the pirates? i mean, think about it. they had good young pitchers in the rotation and a couple of very good ones; snell and gorzelanny. also, matt morris is there (im not sure if he is a free agent or not this offseason). their lineup is decent with bay, sanchez, nady and paulino. what do you guys think? also, the pirates are in the nl central and would not take that many moves for them to be competitive next season. just a thought.

did this move shock anyone? it was down to either him or hancock and i think most people would agree with me when i say i'd rather have hancock on the team. any thoughts?

what will the bullpen look like now?
to me, kinney was the primary candidate to land the setup role ahead of izzy. now what?
any thoughts?
