Burke mostly satisfied with Nike plant work conditions after tour...

But Gautam Kumaraswamy, a member of the campus Purdue Organization for Labor Equality, said Burke saw a whitewashed depiction of the factory environment. "Morgan Burke had a nice vacation. You can't expect much from a Nike-sponsored trip," he said. "The only credible way to investigate conditions is to independently monitor."

Kramer Chronicles Pt 4

Chris answers reader's questions, including mine! (If he was a Boiler fan before going to school there)

Yanks talking with Reed Johnson

It says the Cubs are talking with him as well, but do we wait too long to make the decision to re-sign him (or not)?

Kramer Chronicles Pt 3

Chris discusses the holiday break. Special guest: DJ Byrd

Marcius' Update; Redshirt a possibility

Certainly not the update I was expecting. Only making it through 3/4 of a practice and being outplayed by Patrick Bade before his injury. Of course, the potential of him redshirting hurts us, but I wonder how this affects the scholarship situation if both he and LewJack end up redshirting this year?

Kramer Chronicles Pt 2

Chris talks finals, movies, and ESPN analyst Jimmie Dykes....

Kramer Chronicles Pt 1

From the Ft Wayne Journal Gazette--Stacie Cardie interviews Chris Kramer on the Boilers' routine for road games and a pretty funny discussion on playing Wii's "Mario Kart" with his teammates. Sounds like this is first in a series of weekly interviews with Chris.

Purdue Entrance Vid

I wish I had a better quality video, as this one is shot from the Paint Crew section, but for the first 1:25 of this video, it shows the Purdue video at Mackey before the team takes the floor. One of the best I've seen done by the Athletic Department.

Kerrigan, Smith get Big Ten honors...

Both 1st team all Big Ten by Media, 2nd team by Coaches. David Pender and Ralph Bolden grab 2nd team all Big Ten by Coaches and Media. Brandon King grabs 2nd team all Big Ten by Media. Numerous Boilers on the honorable mention list (Elliot, Plue, Neal, Williams, Wiggs, Z.Jones, Zwilling) Also, in the same article, Kerrigan was named team MVP.

Smith, Kerrigan face off season surgery...

Smith has been playing with a torn ligament in his right wrist since the Sept. 19 game against Northern Illinois. Recovery time is 3-4 months. He'll participate in Spring practice, but in a limited capacity. Meanwhile, Kerrigan broke the fifth metatarsal in his left foot at the end of Saturday's 38-21 victory over Indiana. Expected to participate in winter conditioning and be 100% by Spring ball.

Barlow WON'T redshirt after all....

Good news. This guy is going to contribute this year.

Voice of Purdue Football stepping down at season's end..

This isn't exactly new news, but this article gives a nice recap of Joe McConnell's career.

McKinley dismissed from team...

I guess not coming to practice will do that....what an idiot. Junior safety Josh McKinley has been dismissed from the team. Hope said McKinley, who started two games this season, wasn't coming to practice. "He stopped coming to practices so he's dismissed," Hope said. Redshirt freshman Gavin Roberts moves up to No. 2 behind Dwight Mclean On Roberts: "He's got some physical tools," Hope said. "He doesn't know a whole lot about playing his position right now and he's way behind. He's a guy that we are going to have to develop down the road, anyway, so there's your opportunity." I don't understand that quote at all. Why doesn't he know a whole lot? Here's a guy who, with the entire secondary graduating next year, is a frontrunner for a starting role in 2010 and he's "way behind"?

Tim Souers goes to game w/ Ted Lilly's agent

Interesting entry today in Tim's blog (If you haven't seen it, it's worth it for the artwork alone). He also knew the guy that got nailed by the broken bat in the stands the other night, and updates his injuries. Scary.
