fwiw here's my fix for the clips. try to resign maggette. maggette is a unique scorer in that he can get you 20pts. without a lot of shots. this is important because with brand/kaman you want most of your shot attempts going to them. also his ability to draw fouls imo is a form of defense. if the opposing teams players time on the court is limited due to fouls, then they can't score from the bench.also he's a good reb.
at the sf position.
The fix for me is at the pg/sg positions. i would get younger, more athletic at the sg by trading cassell to golden state for kelenna azubuike.azubuike has a good all-around game and can defend. and even play sf if needed.
I would resign liv. but also in the draft protect ourselves by drafting ty lawson out of north carolina.
This guy reminds me of baron davis/deron williams.strong, excellent ballhandler, can penetrate and finish, good defender, and can knock down a jump shot.
If liv. doesn't become the player we hoped he'd be ,lawson could take over.
Last move sign the veteran kurt thomas as a fa to back-up brand/kaman.
wITH KURT THOMAS ,tim thomas, thornton, mobley, knight or lawson.not a bad bench.

PG:liv 5.8m,knight 2.0m,lawson 1.8m
SG:azubuike 1.2m,mobley 9.1m,ross 1.0m
SF:maggette 10m,thornton 1.7m,tt 6m,
PF:brand 16.4m,powell900k,davis 800k
C:kaman 9.5m,kurt thomas 2m
total payroll 68.2m
nice bench, players who can play multiple positions. btw clippersteve thanks for the time/work you put into maintaining clippernation .
