How to fix Ricky Rubio's shot

Some interesting in-depth analysis from someone who is apparently a professional shooting coach. He seems to be right on point. I mean, everyone knows Ricky's shot is terrible, but he really...

Knicks' dysfunction turns to fantasy: N.Y. already dreaming of Kevin Love in 2015

+

Did you guys catch wind of this yet? Not something I want to think about, but unless Minnesota not only makes the playoffs but also does some damage, we probably have a lot of Love trade rumors to look forward to in the very near future.

Timberwolves 92, Cavaliers 93 – Game 3 Reaction

Just posted a game wrap for the Timberwolves/Cavs game on Monday, which I had the pleasure of attending. Though I'm just a bit late on this one, it should still be worth reading. Please comment and share your thoughts!

Woj: 4 Year Offers Out to Budinger and Redick

2

Did you guys see this? Budinger is obviously no surprise and Redick isn't either, for the most part, but why Redick and not Mayo or Martin? My thought is that the asking price was too high for Mayo or Martin given the Wolves cap room and other priorities (Pek). In other news, the Wolves have interest in Alan Anderson. Wolves reach out to Chase Budinger, inquire about Alan Anderson

Draft Express 2013 Mock Draft

1

Sorry if this is a re-post. Came across DX's mock and was surprised to see them having the Wolves take Zeller at 9. Would the logic here be to take Zeller so they can let Pek walk? Or sign and trade for Pek? Also surprised to see them have the Wolves take Rice (SF) at 26 instead of a SG. Thoughts?

!!! I'm not expecting him to do much or last long after he comes back, but at least he's coming back soon!

Love's injury will test young Timberwolves

+

Love's injury will test young Timberwolves...that's for sure. But don't despair, T-Wolves fans. "Love is the unquestioned leader of the Timberwolves. He's the reason this team has a chance to win this season, and now he'll have to sit and watch for at least the first four weeks of games. Right now, his projected recovery time stands at between six and eight weeks, which projects a return anywhere from Nov. 28 to Dec. 12. If that timetable holds, he'll miss 14 to 18 games. Relatively speaking, the Timberwolves are fortunate. Love's injury comes more than two weeks before the Nov. 2 season opener against Sacramento, and November is without question the team's easiest month. Minnesota faces just six teams that made last season's playoffs in its 15 games: the Magic, Pacers, Bulls, Mavericks, Nuggets and Clippers. Of those teams, only the Nuggets have made significant improvements, and of the rest, all but the Clippers should be weaker than they were last season." Is this a big blow? Certainly. But at least our schedule for the first couple of months is favorable. And maybe Williams will play well enough to boost his trade value and net us a better player in return.

Wolves want Anthony Tolliver back but he will have to be patient

+

Definitely not a sure thing with the interest in Hill, but good news for all of the Tolliver lovers.

Wolfson: Bitter battle over Nic Batum costs the Wolves at least one target

5

Excellent read. Really clears up the current free agency situation for the Wolves. I hope everything Wolfson is saying is true, and it is a relative certainty that the Wolves end up with Hill and Stiemsma in addition to Roy and Shved. I also hope that Lee is their next top SG/SF target after Batum and that the price is indeed right. In my opinion, Brewer is not a close second because of his lack of offensive prowess. Also - Scola would have been nice and I would say that we missed out, but I don't think we need him.

Charley Walters: Lakers want to trade Andrew Bynum, not Pau Gasol, to Timberwolves

5

Say whaaaaaaaaaa?!? This is definitely the first I've heard of this. It obviously has no legs, but still greatly surprises me if there is the least bit of truth to this.

Kevin Love losing patience with Timberwolves' losing, wants roster upgraded

255

I think it's safe to say that Love and the fanbase are on the exact same page. I also think Love did a great job being diplomatic during the interview while still getting his point across.

AP Sources: Timberwolves making run at Pau Gasol

12

I think most of us already knew/suspected this, but here is some more evidence that the Wolves are seriously pursuing Pau. Here's to hoping!

Jamal Crawford to opt out of Blazers deal

20

As most of us probably expected, Jamal Crawford is opting out of the second year of his contract with the Blazers. Now, most of us would probably agree that Jamal Crawford isn't the answer at SG for the Wolves, but how interested should they be in him as a backup SG/sixth man? The question for me is defense and offensive efficiency. I'm sure most of you have similar concerns. Perhaps at $5 million or so a year, he just isn't worth it.

Y! Sports/DraftExpress 2012 NBA Mock Draft No. 2

+

Yahoo!/DraftExpress has us taking Terrence Ross at 18. I like that a lot better than taking Royce White, honestly. Though we could certainly use depth at PF and C, we need a wing in the worst way possible, as everyone knows.

Blazers talk to Roy, say they expect him in camp

2

For those of you who thought the Blazers would be amnestying Roy and thought he'd be a good fit for the Wolves. For all we know, though, they still will. This could be just talk, though I don't know what the Blazers' motivation would be behind pretending they're not going to cut Roy when they're actually going to cut Roy.

Minnesota Timberwolves: 10 Moves That Could Signal a Return to Relevance

9

I just stumbled across this article on Bleacher Report, so I thought I'd post it. It may be most interesting as an "outsider's" perception of the 10 biggest needs of the Wolves (there are many). I think a lot of the "moves" the writer mentions are fairly obvious (especially to Wolves fans), but it's a decent read. Besides - the players are locked out and the NFL and college football seasons haven't started yet. We need something besides a steady stream of Wolves coaching hire rumors to keep us entertained.
