The Rebranding Of Our Beloved Chiefs...
From the FanPosts. Interesting idea but not sure the traditionalists out there would go for this. -Joel
Everyday there are businesses, products and sports teams that are continually seeking to better position themselves. In this society that we live in, image truly is everything. You must continue to evolve and change in order to continue to position yourself as unique and different. This is not a destination, it is a journey. The evolution in my opinion for anything overtime, is to be fine tuned, updated and brought into the 21st century.
Dearest LJ...
Dearest Larry Johnson,
I write you today to provide a clear and concise response to your most recent actions. I hope this letter will provide you with some much needed perspective. First of all you can never be a leader when your focus is inward and completely selfish. You are best defined in the unconventional statement, "love me some me"! Many who lack verbal leadership skills lead by their actions. Your weak and lackluster performance to date exemplifies "zero" leadership on the field. You have now taken your digression on the field to off of the field. You make your decisions and your decisions make you! You not only lack character but it is clear time and time again you completely lack judgment. Many of us are fortunate to mature in life and make changes for the better. Your repeat offenses are always contrary to your words and you are an embarrassment to the franchise, your teammates, the fans and the league. Beyond jeopardizing your own job by biting the hand that feeds you, you trample upon your family's name with your wreck less statements. You know nothing about the words honor, privelage, respect, principal, responsibility, sacrifice, reliability and integrity. While trying to allegedly recognize your Father, you have brought shame. Regardless of your motives, which many believe you want out of Kansas City, we the FANS want a DIVORCE! We look forward to you not being our record holder, since Priest Holmes embodies everything that you are not. You will leave in shame, but we look forward to the spark that will come from the better running backs on our team of which you have created an opportunity for. Your actions and character will stay with you always and obviously you have learned nothing from your life struggles. In the end, your departure will make our team better and for that we are thankful!
A "Former" LJ Fan

A LITTLE BIT OF HOPE AND PERSPECTIVE!
What do I hear some of the mob saying just 4 games into the season?????????????
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I WANT HALEY'S HEAD!", "Cassel sucks, Croyle would have won some of these games", "The play calling is the reason we suck!", "$60 M to Cassel, what was Pioli thinking!", "Haley can't handle HC, OC or a go-cart at a fun center"!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GARBAGE! GARBAGE! GARBAGE!
FACTS, PERSPECTIVE AND THINGS YOU ALREADY KNOW:
- KC was 2-14 in 2008. First 3 out of 4 games against playoff teams (Ravens - 2008 Conference Championship Game, Eagles - 2008 Conference Championship Game, Giants - 2008 Divisional Playoff). The only game that we expected and should have won was the RAIDERS! All we want is a win and when we lose, we are pissed off and it affects our attitude and ruins our Sunday and our dogs have a severe limp! IF WE WOULD HAVE WON THE ONLY GAME WE WERE SUPPOSED TO WIN, THERE WOULD BE VERY FEW NAYSAYERS!
- KC schedule is advantageous to a young, inexperienced team with all new coaches, systems and a large number of players. Things will get easier for this team and execution will improve.
- The defensive statistics are bad and some of the worst in the league, but consider the competition. This will change and we will move more to the middle of the pack for NFL defenses. Why? Due to the level of competition played thus far. Consider the stats against the Ravens, Giants and Eagles. Then look at the Raiders! Marked improvement when you are not playing the elite of the league. Romo even mentioned this point in his KC Media conf. call this week saying that the statistics don't tell the real story and are skewed.
- Cassel hurt his knee, O-Cord. fired, new receiver personnel added, revolving O-line and new offensive system all taking place in the last 5-6 weeks. Cassel has been back for 3-games and has thrown 5 TD's and 2 Int's. He has statistically (Overall QB Rating) performed better than Romo, Edwards, Pennington, Palmer, Leftwich, Sanchez, Bulger, Collins, Stafford, Quinn, Delhomme, Anderson and Russel. He sits and number 20 despite all the change, injury and personnel. He will finish in the middle of the pack between #12 and #18. RIGHT IN LINE WITH HIS SALARY BITCHES! (I use that term affectionately)
- Haley/ Pioli and Cassel are the three best things to happen to this franshise over the last 3 years! Mark my words! Haley will be a good coach and has shown already his willingness to change, take risk, take responsibility and much more. 4 games people, Herm had 3 years!
- Come on, have a little patience!
FINAL THOUGHTS:
Here is the HOPE part of this post. We have games against countless weaker opponents than the Giants, Eagles and Ravens. KC can still win 4-8 games in my opinion and will end up with around 6 win's. This is my prediction, from the perspective of trying to take off my rose colored glasses and be realistic. I do however believe it is possible to upset the Cowboys this week even though I listed it as an "L" and the Chargers, Bengals and Broncos on the road. Here is my prediction and reason for hope:
| SCHEDULE | ||
| Team | Result | |
| 1 | at Ravens | L 24-38 |
| 2 | Raiders | L 10-13 |
| 3 | at Eagles | L 14-34 |
| 4 | Giants | L 16-27 |
| 5 | Cowboys | L |
| 6 | at Redskins | W |
| 7 | Chargers | W |
| Bye | - | |
| 8 | at Jaguars | L |
| 9 | at Raiders | W |
| 10 | Steelers | L |
| 11 | at Chargers | L |
| 12 | Broncos | W |
| 13 | Bills | W |
| 14 | Browns | W |
| 15 | at Bengals | L |
| 16 | at Broncos | L |
| PREDICTION | 6-10 |
WHAT SAY YOU?

Why move to Kansas City, Missouri?
I am considering moving to Kansas City, MO. As a diehard Chiefs fan it is appealing but I was hoping some of you would offer why you live there. There is a job opportunity but I know nothing about the city or surrounding areas. Since I would be relocating my family, I am particularly interested in crime rates, edcuation, things to do such as lakes, etc. How is the weather? What is the terrain like? Basically, what are the best things about living in Kansas City, Missouri? Also, how close is Kansas City, KS?
I want to give a sincerece thank you to anyone who responds to this request.

Getting to know our new FRANCHISE QB Matt Cassel - (This is pretty entertaining stuff!)
First of all, I am the most die hard Chiefs fan in the State of New Mexico. I am tired of driving to Donkeyland Denver to see the Chiefs lose. That is all going to change! This is written with some degree of emotion and no one knows for sure what the result will be. With that being said, I now wholly trust Pioli and Haley and I am fired up about having Cassel as our franchise QB. The signing is a great day in Chiefs football and we can see the pieces coming together on a great plan for a solid foundation for years to come. Just think how far we have come, last year Herm put his job on the line with Croyle and in going young with no stability at the most important position. You can't win in this league without a QB and we are not going to need Cassel to carry us alone. I see some great formations coming with Charles and LJ and more importantly an imporved defense underway. Now teams have to worry about the dimension we have added at QB. That was not there before. Cassel is not only believed in by Pioli but Bellicheck, McDaniels and Tom Brady as well. You watch, there is potential that we could be on the verge of having a QB that can eclipse the Trent Green era. We at least have all the upside possible with Cassel. Even more important, Cassel is a class act, likable in every way and it is time for the Chiefs to show it on the field.
Here are some great Youtube clips and I particularly like the interview with his wife and my favorite is hearing about the pranks that were pulled by Tom Brady on Cassel.
