Born in Oakland, I've been as A's fan since 71, when I was nine. I remember going out to the front porch after a win to watch the "Finely fireworks". Local noise laws banned the fireworks display early on, but I still cherish memories of the Glory days of Catfish, Reggie, Rollie and the rest of the mustache gang.
College in San Diego, work in Boston and Florida as well as travels across our great country have widened my baseball perspective. I am a fan of the sport in general, not just the A's, and believe baseball reflects some of the best virtues of America. I've had some great times at Fenway and long summer days on Cape Cod listening to the Sox, as well as sharing the excitement when teams in the area I was living in were winning. I just plain love baseball. If that makes me the opposite of a "rabid" fan, then so be it. Makes for better peace of mind, as anyone who suffered through the 1979 A's will attest. God, did they suck!

I quit college in 84 and traveled the world, working just about any job I could get, including picking oranges in Greece, setting up scaffolding in Norway, and manning a cappuccino bar in Tel Aviv. All that paid for a long time in India.

I am now a professional photographer. I do color panoramics of the American coast .I'm currently in Asia on holiday but expect to be back in the states in May 08 to get back in my motorhome and start doing my best to increase global warming. But I will also be working, so that evens out my Karma, right?

I am a Buddhist. I will offer positive comments, perhaps some humor. It is all meant in good faith. I offer peace to my friends, tolerance and good will to those who choose to make an enemy.
Baseball is the only sport I really care about, so the website questions all start with A because there was no other choice.
