Gymnastics Heisman Equivalent

Article on Boise State's Amy Glass, in the top 6 finalists for the AAI Award, for the top senior gymnastics student athlete. Here's a link to a video of her on uneven bars.

The Swamp will be a wlecomed sight for OC Brent Pease after six seasons at Boise State. "Do I miss the blue turf?" he said. "No. It's hard on the eyes."

Kaiserman on Concussions

Great article over at yahoo sports with video from Kaiserman himself. Also has a link to the career-ending hit he took versus Utah. Ouch. Makes you appreciate all the hard work these guys put in and all the punishment they take, just to get a free education.

Kellen Moore running the forty at the combine...In case you missed it this weekend. Where were those wheels when he was here? He ran a 4.88 and 4.87 (unofficial) (4.94 official). Not too shabby considering Tebow was 4.7.

Mountain West Conference of the USA

Appears what was rumored months ago was true...the MWC and Conference USA will likely dissolve and form a 16-team football conference coming from the Atlantic seaboard to Hawaii.

The Other Sports

A slightly heated debate this last weekend (which I didn't participate in) got into discussing or not discussing the state of other sports at Boise State, and I'll admit that I spend too much time...

Boise State is #14 Coaching Factory

This is an interesting article mostly about Iowa, but shows how many BSU alums (11) have gone on to become assistant or head coaches in the NCAA. Iowa was #1 with (16) alumni in coaching.

Saw this on the interwebs. Kellen did better for himself than Keenum.

Our kicker may not be the greatest, but at least he's not getting arrested

Not only does TCU's kicker kick footballs, but he apparently kicks down doors. The incident occurred on November 8 (4 days before going 2/3 on extra points against us)

Titus catches first touchdown in the league

41 yarder with nobody covering him. Video on the link.

Payday for Petersen

100k raises every year we reach 8 wins + other incentives. Couldn't be a more deserving coach.

Ball Boy for BSU Basketball

I was excited until I found out it was only for 4th through 8th graders. On a side note, is it weird that our basketball team has more Australians than Idahoans, or more Texans than Idahoans. I would really like to see our basketball program start to keep most of the best in state players like the football team does.

Georgia's game-week depth chart

If you click the pdf link it gives you position by position breakdown with ht./wt. and class. Also shows BSU's depth chart from yesterday. Just don't look at the weights of their linemen, they are bigger than a lot of NFL teams...

By Chadd Cripe ccripe@idahostatesman.com © 2011 Idaho Statesman Boise State released its depth chart for the Georgia game Monday. A couple notes: — Sophomore Jake Broyles is listed as the starting right guard, but offensive line coach Chris Strausser told me Saturday it was a three-way race that would continue into this week and at least two guys will play. — Boise State didn’t name a starting kicker. — Senior Tyler Shoemaker is listed as the starter at slot receiver, where he played the last two years. Junior Mitch Burroughs is the starter at the outside receiver spot that Austin Pettis played last year. — No true freshmen are on the depth chart, not even Tyler Horn, who is the fourth defensive end. Changes Await Moore

Because there haven't been enough "who's going to replace Pettis and Young" articles. This one tells who he'll go to in each different situation. Answer: Efaw, Bold1, Shoe, and Doug.
