Indy Cornrows a BIG addition

I'm a Pacers fan, I'm french, so for many years now I'm hoping the Pacers will bring a french basketball player to Indiana.

You can imagine how I was disappointed when they took Tinsley over Parker but this is history.

But today another BIG french player is available so I wanted to check what the Pacers Nation is thinking about it.

Enter : Boris Diaw.

Ok now he's not as athletic as he once was but he's still a very good basketball player. Let me explain if you don't know him well :

First he's a great passer he's really at his best when he can play point forward as a facilitator on offense something we can use for sure.

He's an all around guy who can rebound and defend well at PF and small C he's not what you can call a smash mouth type of guy but when he is motivated he can play real well.

Of course he took some weight and he's not a great scorer (not that he is bad on offense but more because he doesn't look enough to shoot) but if he's cut by Charlotte I think he can be a great addition.

Indy Cornrows A trade idea

I was reading some rumors with Gasol and the Rockets, we know the Lakers wants an upgrade at PG but the Rockets don't want to trade Lowry ( I can understand that).

I like our team BUT since the beginning of the year I'm sure we'll be better with a real starting SG and P. George comming of the bench to back up the 2 and 3.

So here is the idea : why not try to facilitate the trade between Houston and LA :

Gasol and Goudelock to Houston

Collison and Scola to LA

K Martin and Flinn to Indiana

If LA thinks Collison is a real upgrade at PG they can do that, Houston had already done that deal once.

For Flinn it's a low risk trade and he can be a really good back up. and I always liked Martin offensive game and he can be the perfect second scorer in the back court.

So guys what do you think about that?

Tweet from Mike Wells : "Brian Shaw will interview with Frank Vogel and Larry Bird this week for the Pacers lead assistant coach position, according to a source"

Great news if Shaw is comming to Indy.

Indy Cornrows A trade is coming ?

In Hoopsworld they are talking about a trade between Earl Clark and Solo Jones : link

In fact I don't care about trading Solo I think he is the biggest liability of the team, BUT I think Jeff will have an injury before the end of the season and we'll be very thin at the C spot. I like Earl Clark for his potential but I'm not sure it's a good idea.

What do you think about that?

Indy Cornrows The real Hornets / Pacers trade.

Now that we know that Chris Paul got a good meeting with the NO staff, we can think that they will try to improve the team as soon as possible to keep him happy (I don't think another bad season is good business for NO).

So my proposal is :

NO get : TJ Ford + Jeff Foster + Rush

Indy get : Collison + Stojakovic + 1st round pick

NO does the trade because they improve the team right away and still got expiring contract for next year. They really need a C after Okafor and Foster is the perfect guy for that. They got a good PG when CP will have his month off. and Rush can play the 2 and 3.

Indy get rid of TJ, wich is really good for us (I mean, us : the fans), for a good young PG, we keep THE PLAN alive with the big expiring of Stojakovic, we free some playing time at the 2, 4 and 5 for our young guys (Paul, Stevenson, Hansbrough and McBob) and we got another 1st round pick wich can be really important at the trade deadline.

So what are your thoughts on this one.
