Pacers pick up Rush's Option
Well they finally broke down and picked up his option. I think it was their best option. (yeah, its a pun, whatta wanna fight about it?)
Sources: Knicks Scout Led improper workouts for draftees'
Story about NBA rule breaking workouts by a N.Y. scout, the story deals with Brandon Rush a lot it seems.
The Indiana Pacers have told the Kansas coaches that Brandon Rush learns things faster than just about anyone.
Thought i'd put this here, it was just interesting to me... maybe it is to you. It was taken from a question about Brandon Rush's ability as a player at a recent banquet that Kansas University coach's were at. Feel free to delete if its not fanshot worthy.
"Former NFL Strength and Conditioning Coach that runs these workouts, has stated that Brandon Rush outworks his two older brothers ten fold."
"Brandon has impressed everyone in attendance including several college and NFL players."
Just some tidbits taken from a Kansas Jayhawk message board, a guy met up with Brandon at a local Gym, where he is working out this summer, supposedly, Brandon is hitting it extremely hard. He decided not to workout in California, but to work out with a local NFL strength and Conditioning Coach.
Also, i don't know where to put the link into the Quote Source area, so i just won't. its just quotes from a guy i know anyways, might as well have been him telling this to me in person.
No one saw this one coming

MLB's amateur draft is shifting to prime time.
"The commissioner's office said Tuesday that this year's draft will start at 6 p.m. on June 9 and be held at the studios of the MLB Network in Secaucus, N.J."
"There will be 111 picks on the first day, which includes the first three rounds mixed in with two compensation rounds."
Greinke is Unhittable
Short blog/write-up on why Zack has been so good during his 34IP zero-run streak.
Kansas' Aldrich Drawing compairsons to McHale
"It's really flattering," Aldrich said. "Kevin McHale, he's a legend back home. It's really great to be compared to him in small little aspects."
and....
And, as Self likes to point out, there is one more similarity between his sophomore and the former NBA All-Star and current head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
"They both have funky shots," he said with a grin.
"Bill Self joked that his team must be really tough to scout because there are times that they don't run anything the way it was designed. That is the lament of a young team."
Thought it was funny, and i'd share it with others. From Jay Bilas blog post.
Hoch done for season.
Did this already get posted? If so i don't apologize. Cause it sucks and he wasn't pitching bad at all. Well, atleast we have duckworth here to save the day!
Kip Wells signing Almost complete & injuries.
Kip wells is basically signed Bob Dutton reports, unless an unforseen snag occurs, also he goes on to say that Ron Mahay is having more pain in his foot after his one appearence vs. the yankees, and that Ram-Ram is/could be dealing with an unspecified minor injury...
Lets hope we get Ho-Ram v2.

Kila "Ky-Uh-Hooey" Article
Article about Kila from Royals.com. Some interesting stuff, some generic stuff..
"The way he's going now, he could be a Major League first baseman."
-- Brian Poldberg, Double-A Northwest Arkansas' manager
They start to compare him to pickering but then explain why he is different, and how he is like Our Savior Avilanche.
Aviles Named AL Co-Play of the Week!
He is the AL Co-player of the week with Xavier Nady from the Yankees.
"Aviles hit .577 (15-26) with three doubles, a triple, two home runs and five RBI. The 27-year-old posted a 1.000 slugging percentage along with a .593 on-base percentage."
Interesting fact, Aviles was picked over other royals including; Guillen, Greinke, Soria, and Butler.. who also recieved votes.
Gobble Rehab Session
Gobble pitched two scoreless innings saturday night against Salt Lake (Angels System). His line ended up;
IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA
2.0 2 0 0 0 3 0 0.00
Well he can pitch just fine in AAA.
Olivo and Mahay rumored to trade even more.
"Sean McAdam of the Providence Journal says the Sox "are interested again and expect expect to get back to the Royals on Ron Mahay." Mahay is generally believed to be unavailable."
also if you scroll down, they explain that miguel olivo could end up in florida with a three team trade including the marlins and blue jays. Wonder what the blue jays could offer?
Ex-Royal Randa is impressed with Moustakas
Article from KC star, i'm sure most of you have read it or seen it already, but its still pretty cool.
"He got off to a slow start and is only hitting .240 or something," Randa said. "But this kid has legitimate power. I think he’s going to have big-time power when he reaches the big leagues. He’s got 12 or so home runs there, and that is not a hitters’ park or a hitters’ league."
Joe was not only impressed with Mike's hitting ability, but his attitude.
"He’s got such a great attitude and knows he doesn’t have it all figured out yet," Randa said. "He really works hard at all phases. When I was up there, he kept taking ground ball and ground ball, and finally I had to shut him down."
"I just said, ‘Dude, that’s enough for one day.’ But he doesn’t want to quit."
Deric Ladnier Q & A
Deric Ladnier, the Senior Director of Scouting for our K.C. Royals answers all sorts of questions for Royal fans. Some are kind of dull questions but some are interesting to see his take on different players. Check it out, if you have not already.
