We're not gonna take it!!!
Oh, we're not gonna take it
No, we ain't gonna take it
Oh, we're not gonna take it anymore
We've got the right to choose it
There ain't no way we'll lose it
This is our life, this is our song
We'll fight the powers that be, just
Don't pick our destiny, 'cause
You don't know us, you don't belong
Oh, we're not gonna take it
No, we ain't gonna take it
Oh, we're not gonna take it anymore
Oh, you're so condescending
Your gall is never ending
We don't want nothin', not a thing from you
Your life is trite and jaded
Boring and confiscated
If that's your best, your best won't do
Oh, Oh
We're right (yeah)
We're free (yeah)
We'll fight (yeah)
You'll see (yeah)
Oh, we're not gonna take it
No, we ain't gonna take it
Oh, we're not gonna take it anymore
Oh, we're not gonna take it
No, we ain't gonna take it
Oh, we're not gonna take it anymore
No way
Oh, Oh
We're right (yeah)
We're free (yeah)
We'll fight (yeah)
You'll see (yeah)
Oh, we're not gonna take it
No, we ain't gonna take it
Oh, we're not gonna take it anymore
Oh, we're not gonna take it
No, we ain't gonna take it
Oh, we're not gonna take it anymore
Just you try and make us
We're not gonna take it
Come on
No, we ain't gonna take it
You're all worthless and weak
We're not gonna take it anymore
Now drop and give me twenty
We're not gonna take it
Oh, crinch pin
No, we ain't gonna take it
Oh, you and your uniform
We're not gonna take it anymore

Cubs ink B.J. Ryan to Minor League contract
The Cubs signed pitcher B.J. Ryan to a Minor League contract on Thursday in hopes that the left-hander can help the team out of the bullpen later this season.
Ryan was 1-1 with a 6.53 ERA in 25 games with the Toronto Blue Jays before he was released on July 8. The Jays owe the left-hander $15 million, and the Cubs will be obligated to pay him a prorated share of the Major League minimum if he makes the team.
Ryan will report to the Cubs' Minor League facility in Mesa, Ariz., on Sunday and work with pitching coordinator Mark Riggins. When he's ready, he will join Triple-A Iowa, but there's no timetable.
"He's not ready [now]," assistant general manager Randy Bush said. "What's great is that he wants to do it the right way. He wants to go to Mesa, get work on his delivery. He wants to get himself back to feeling good about where he's at and how he's delivering the ball. When he's ready to go and feels sharp, that's when he wants to go to Iowa."
The Cubs have one lefty in the bullpen, in Sean Marshall, and no one available. Neal Cotts was on the Opening Day roster but underwent Tommy John ligament-replacement surgery on his left elbow.
"We feel there's a whole lot of upside for us," Bush said. "It should be a thing that can work well for both sides. He can go about getting himself ready at the right pace."
Ryan told the Cubs that he felt inconsistent work had contributed to his struggles this season. In 2004, Ryan struck out 122 in 87 innings for Baltimore.
"If he pitches anywhere near how he pitched with the Orioles and Toronto, he'll help us," manager Lou Piniella said. "But I think that's down the road just a little bit."

David Cone testified today in support of Sotomayor
Fresh off winning the Cy Young Award as the American League's top ace in 1994, David Cone found himself at the White House a few months later making another pitch: Trying to help end the players' strike that had wiped out the World Series.
The baby-faced righty was part of a small group that met with President Bill Clinton and was a key player throughout the negotiations, representing major leaguers at the bargaining table. At one point, players and owners even agreed to shift talks from Washington to New York to accommodate his wedding.
Cone testified today in support of Sotomayor, who ended the baseball strike in 1995.
"A lot of people both inside and outside baseball tried to settle the dispute," Cone said. Her key ruling forced owners and players back to the bargaining table and ultimately brought Major League Baseball back to the nation.
"With one decision Judge Sotomayor changed the entire dispute," he said. "I believe all of us who love the game -- players, owners and fans -- are in her debt."
Cone lost about $570,000 of his $2 million salary because of the walkout. It may have cost him a little more, too — two weeks after the strike was settled, his hometown Kansas City Royals saved money by trading him away.
Cone retired in 2003, leaving with credentials that got him on the Hall of Fame ballot last year. He won 194 games, was a five-time All- Star and played on five World Series champions. He pitched one of only
15 perfect games in modern baseball history, and once tied the then- National League record of 19 strikeouts in a game.
Now 46, Cone remains popular with fans as a broadcaster for the New York Yankees.

Kendrick has home run overturned
Kendrick has home run overturned
Major League Baseball has overturned a scoring decision from last Friday's game between the Angels and Royals, ruling Los Angeles' Howie Kendrick reached on an error instead of an inside-the-park homer.
Kendrick was initially given the homer after Kansas City right fielder Jose Guillen misplayed a ball down the line. The Royals appealed the decision by official scorer Mel Franks, and a five-person appeals board voted unanimously to change the ruling, taking away Kendrick's homer and giving Guillen a four-base error. Franks then approved the change.
The decision took away two earned runs from Royals starter Gil Meche, dropping his ERA to 4.01 entering Thursday night's game against Baltimore.

Adenhart crash survivor upgraded to fair condition
LOS ANGELES (AP)—The passenger injured in the car crash that killed Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart
had his status upgraded to fair late last week and has been undergoing physical and speech therapy.
Jon Wilhite, of Manhattan Beach, remains in intensive care at the UC Irvine Medical Center, but can move and is not paralyzed, hospital spokesman John Murray said.
His condition was upgraded last Thursday.
The 24-year-old was riding in a Mitsubishi Eclipse with Adenhart and two friends on April 9 when a minivan ran a red light and broadsided the car at about 12:30 a.m. in neighboring Fullerton.
Adenhart died in surgery hours after he made his season debut by pitching six scoreless innings.
Two others in the Eclipse died in the crash.

Torii Hunter
I wasn't sure where else to put this, but I wanted to post and say how much respect I've developed for Torii Hunter. The way he talked to the media after the Adenhart tragedy and then yesterday, after the little blow up with the Red Sox. He was so pumped and emotional out there. And he does a ton of stuff for charity. I just think the guy's a class act. Come to think of it, I love that the Angels are the "nice guy" team.

Figgins the most overrated player in Fantasy Baseball
Has anyone read this?
Calling Chone Figgins a below-average hitter would be charitable. The 31-year-old third baseman managed just one homer and 22 runs batted in over the course of 453 at-bats for the Los Angeles Angels last year.
Yet some foolish fantasy baseball owners are selecting him ahead of mashers like the Orioles' Aubrey Huff, who slammed 32 round-trippers to go with 108 RBI and a .304 batting average in 2008.
