Joakim Noah and Toshiru Mifune: Unexpected Warriors
This is a nice little piece comparing Noah and Japanese actor Toshiru Mifune, who starred in many of Akira Kurosawa films including The Seven Samurai, Rashomon and Yojimbo.

I believe it's up to 4 Melo posts I've deleted today. I'm not even sure it makes sense to do so anymore, or if I just like it.
(via yfbb's twitter)
So, you think we'll get Melo?

LeBron viewed No. 6 among disliked athletes according to latest Q rating
Are you as suprised as me that Taj Gibson isn't in the Top 5?
"We knew that this team would push us," Lebron James told reporters. "Honestly … we wanted to play Chicago more than Toronto in this first round, because we knew we were going to get pushed a little bit more."
Nocioni drops 21 against Cleveland. Is he the Bulls missing link? Trade for him this summer?
This is what happens when you give Chapu minutes
Kings need a superstar. They might already have one on their bench.
Who'd want to break up Chapu and Reke?
Chapu to Casspi. They can co-exist.
And you want Chapu out of your community. Shame on you.
Chapu to Bulls? Won't this make everyone happy?
"The Bulls are believed to still think highly of Nocioni, and they just so happen to have a defensive-minded big man in Tyrus Thomas who they are reportedly open to trading. Thomas is owed $4.7 million this season and is a restricted free agent this summer, meaning the Kings could give him a long look before deciding whether or not to keep him." - Sam Amick

Poll: Do you want the Bulls to beat the Nets tonight?
I saw a lot of pessimism on the Nets preview thread. Do you guys really want the Bulls to lose tonight? I mean a win is a win, and could determine whether the Bulls get a (hopefully) 6 or 7 seed. Is VDN really doing that poor of a job that you want his head instead of results? Remember this was a team that beat Cleveland on the road, and they usually turn it on late in the season.

The T-Wolves aspire to become the Chicago Bulls
"There's little doubt that NBA analyst Mark Jackson will be the Timberwolves' new coach. Former Gophers star Mychal Thompson, who is a Los Angeles Lakers analyst, recommended Jackson to Wolves President David Kahn.
'He's smart, and everybody respects him,' Thompson said of Jackson."
First, they try to find a franchise point guard in the draft and now they might hire a former player who has no experience coaching at all. They're trying to be the Chicago Bulls of the Western Conference!

The Bulls number one priority this offseason
There's been great talk that the most important maneuver the Bulls should do is to move Kirk Hinrich somewhere else to create cap space to sign Ben Gordon. While at first glance signing Ben Gordon to a long term deal sounds like a great idea -- the kid can shoot lights out -- it's a bad move.
Remember when the Bulls refused to give up Luol Deng in a Kobe Bryant trade? Remember how great Deng seemed to be then. He was going to be the Bulls "superstar" and wasn't worth trading for an aging superstar who had been in the league 10 plus years.
Deng has failed to be that superstar. You can blame it on injures, but he still isn't producing when he's in the line-up. I'm afraid that if the Bulls sign Gordon to a long term deal, he's definitely not going to excel in his role just like Deng didn't excel in his. I'm not saying that he's going to be injured and waste most of his contract on the bench. I'm saying he might relax a little. Gordon's one of the most hardest working players in the locker room, and who knows whether he stops that rigorous training when he gets his paid. And it's obvious he wants to get paid. He turned down the huge contract in '07.
So, the Bulls number one priority this summer should be too let Ben Gordon go and get his big contract... and then somehow trade for Andres Nocioni
