Ouch, this really hurts - Ward decommits

Wow, this is awful news to Purdue football recruiting. After Tranquill, now Denzel Ward decommits. He seemed like a solid verbal several months ago when he referred to Etling as his brother and...

WBB beat Kansas

I guess I'll beat WBBfan this time on WBB. I watched the end of the first half and almost all of second half. We came back from a 7-point deficit when I started watching to win the game by one. F...

Football Survey (Final Result)

At the beginning of the season I ran a football survey. Suffice to say the result was as ugly as our football team, as out of a possible 10 points the average is a paltry 1.2. Over 25% of entries...

Looks like the TRich haters get their wish

Richardson is benched against the Titans in favor of Donald Brown. I honestly like both and my worry is that this move kills both of them. Brown has been awesome in his change-of-pace role, and...

kenpom

Just notice that kenpom had us projected to be 15-14, and 6-12 in the conference. In fact, he puts us as an underdog in all 12 games from 1/21/14 to 3/5/14. In conference games, he only favors us...

Annual Boiler Basketball Forecast 2013-14

It's just one week to the first exhibition game! Last season, USFBoiler is our BBBF (Best Boiler Basketball Forecaster) with 4.9 pts out of a possible 10 (avg among the 42 entries is less than 3)....

Off Topic: This kid is a great bball player ...

3

... that's what he wants to be known. He is missing a hand but he shoots the threes with ease!!! He just got an offer to play at Florida - truly inspirational!!

As an aside, Butler's Jones is out for the season. Sorry for the kid. I don't wanna look past anyone but I'll be damn pissed if we can't get our first W at the Crossroad Classic. Looks like Stevens had great timing again.

True leader - Rob Henry

"S/O to my brother @RobHenry15 for always being there for me since day one on my official visit. Thanks for everything bro!Let's keep pushing!" - Austin Appleby

The best display of great leadership is when you not only perform better than your competition, but earn their respect and appreciation in the process. I love Etling and I love Appleby, but Rob Henry has my vote to lead the team, hands down.

Seriously?! Nebraska over Purdue?!

I find this piece of news rather disappointing, http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/mens-basketball/harriman-turns-down-purdue-offer/article_96106492-fbaf-11e2-87d9-0019bb2963f4.html #1: We...

Surprise there is no Eron Gordon

Kenny Lowe - our next asst coach?

1

After Cardinal, the most likeliest hire for our assistant coach is Kenny Lowe, who at this interview has expressed interest in coaching. It sounds like it depends on his knees, but perhaps the financial incentives might convince him to come back anyway. I think having a former player and dPOY certainly helps.

Current players vs. Rob / JJ / LewJack

This is actually old news, but I didn't seem to hear anything about this. I'm excited. Must be cool for the current players to play against the pros, and must be fun for the alums to get to play together again too.

Today is the 28th Anniversary of Bob Knight's infamous chair-tossing game

I am watching BTN classic and stumble upon this game. It's always good to see Purdue beating IU, esp. with the young Troy Lewis and Everett Stephens. Any old timer cares to share their recollection of that game? Bonus trivia question: On the ensuing 6 FTs after the toss, how many did Steve Reid (a 90% FT shooter in conf game) hit?
