In the discussion about Jordan Shipley looking to be ready for Training Camp, a debate kind of started about the benefits (or lack their of) of Brian Leonard being on the Bengals roster in 2012. I personally am on the Pro-Leonard team, as he has been one of the better third down back options, and seems to come up with big plays when they matter most (example: 4th quarter in Buffalo) Also, as the season recap stated in the beginning of this year

In the discussion about Jordan Shipley looking to be ready for Training Camp, a debate kind of started about the benefits (or lack their of) of Brian Leonard being on the Bengals roster in 2012.

Brian Leonard was the only Bengals running back to have a high grade in 2011. Once again he served as the team's third-down back and once again he made some exciting plays. Leonard carried the ball 20 times for 119 yards, which adds up to six yards per carry. He also caught 28 passes for a total of 246 yards. He's by far the best receiver out of the backfield and he consistently seems to make plays when the Bengals need him to. He earned a PFF grade of 6.9 with a rushing grade of 2.2 and a receiving grade of 4.0.

So, as the debate carried on, I turn to the masses as to where we stand on Brian Leonard. Vote and discuss below. And let's not forget, no matter what opinion or vote you cast, we're all wearing Black and Orange in our hearts.

 	<fieldset class="poll-box">
  <legend>Poll</legend>

What's your opinion on Brian Leonard and what his role should be?

63%

Keep him where he is (3rd down back, ST). He's producing what he should produce there.

62 votes

22%

Give him more playing time as a feature back, and let's see what he could do

22 votes

4%

Time to cut ties. It's been a good run, but it's time for a change

4 votes

7%

He's never been anything special. One or two good plays, and nothing more.

7 votes

4%

I only like him because he's white (it was asked, so we'll make it an option)

4 votes

99 votes

    | Poll has closed

  jQuery(document).ready(function(){
    new SBN.Poll('poll_container_135808_357680898').animateResults({renderImmediately:true});
  });
