When SU takes the floor tonight to face DePaul, there will be many things at stake for the Orange such as pride, a conference win, and their spot in the top 10. But apparently, according to my girlfriend, a DePaul alum, the relationship between she and yours truly is dependent on the outcome of this game. She is not a Blue Demons fan by any stretch, she can care less about the DePaul sports teams, but when our basketball teams have been getting together recently, she suddenly cares. She based her so called 'wager' on that fateful night nearly three years ago, we had just recently started dating, and SU got absolutely shellacked at DePaul, 108-69. She called me during the game to brag, not a good idea as I was rightfully angry on how that game was going. So after that game I did what any self-respecting SU fan would do after a catastrophic event like that, get hammered and not answer the phone. She will not be near me, or call me during this game. So if the unthinkable happens, and I get angry again, she (jokingly?) said she would call it quits. Don't worry, I wouldn't go Devo on her (does Judicial Affairs jurisdiction stretch to alums in Chicago?).

If we lose and I contain myself, I'll only have to make her some blue demon themed cookies (which I might spit in).

Looking back on the postseason history between SU and UVA:

"The Cavaliers bested the Orange, 63-55, in the 1984 East Region semifinals and Syracuse returned the favor with a 63-61 win in the second round of the 1900 NCAA Tournament."

Looks like the dome needs to add another one of those horrendously small NCAA appearance banners in between the decks to account for this one! Is it me or were the old ones that looked like they were on cardboard bigger and better?
