I think it might have been Brian Wheeler, said that in a few years Terry Porter could possibly be the Blazers' next coach. What?! I, for one, want to see Nate McMillan stick around Portland for a while.

The Portland Trail Blazers interviewed Terry Porter for their vacant coaching job Sunday, ESPN.com's Marc Stein has learned.

Terry Porter made his mark in Portland with two trips to the NBA Finals in 10 seasons.

Porter, according to NBA coaching sources, was thus officially added to a Blazer search believed to favor Seattle coach Nate McMillan, with Phoenix assistant Marc Iavaroni also a strong contender.

Pacers' turnover at end of game?

why did the indiana team not shoot the ball at the end of the game? when they got that 7th turnover from a shot-clock violation?

i'm sorry if this is a stupid question but i don't understand. i'm also sorry if it has been answered elsewhere but i don't have the time to slog through all this information. thank you for your time.

Also, nickname-- G-ode sounds like Geode.. isn't that a crystal-filled rock?

Geodes (Greek geoides, "earthlike") are geological rock formations which occur in sedimentary and certain volcanic rocks. Geodes are essentially rock cavities or vugs with internal crystal formations or concentric banding. The exterior of the most common geodes is generally limestone or a related rock, while the interior contains quartz crystals and/or chalcedony deposits. Other geodes are completely filled with crystal, being solid all the way through. These types of geodes are called nodules.

Geodes can form in any cavity that is buried. These can be gas bubbles in igneous rocks, pockets under tree roots, vesicles in lava after a volcanic eruption, or even in animal burrows. Over time, the external wall of the cavity hardens, and dissolved silicates and/or carbonates are deposited on the inside surface. Over time, this slow feed of mineral constituents from groundwater or hydrothermal solutions allows crystals to form inside the hollow chamber. Then the geode makes its way back to the surface through normal geologic processes.
