This is shaping up to be a good day.

Baylor at Texas in the early game, with UT surely to rebound from last week's disappointing loss.

Alabama at LSU -- Best chance for an upset all day

OSU at Tech -- OSU hasn't won @ TT in like 60 years. However, Tech is wearing the target now. There's no way they don't lose either this game or @ OU.

OU at A&M -- That really shouldn't be a contest. Poor aggy.

What a game!

I much prefer nail-biter games to the lopsided blowouts of the past. Last year's game and today's game have surely renewed this rivalry.

Congrats to the Horns on "upsetting" #1 OU. Jordan Shipley is a beast.

Congrats to the Sooners on hanging 35 on Muschamp's defense.

Solid performances by both QBs. The officiating was horrible, but I think it's a wash in the end, not favoring either side.

It's almost that time of year again, where the Horns play football, and we play Pick`em! We had a lot of fun with this last year, and I expect another great competition for 08.

In Pick`em, each user ranks 10 games per week, in order of confidence. Points are awarded for each correct pick on a running tally. Not only will we compete against one another, but we'll also have national rankings. I encourage you all to play, whether you're a returning member or a first-timer.

OT: Randy Pausch has died

I hope you guys have known about Randy Pausch by now. I watched his "Last Lecture" a few months ago, and was overly impressed with it. I thought it was just another internet phenom, but was genuninely surprised after I watched it. If you haven't watched it, I recommend you do so. It's almost an hour long, but I felt better as a person after doing so. I know this may be off topic for LSB, but it's impressive if you're ready for it.

OT: Software question

I consider myself fairly knowledgable about computers, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to save user settings in-session.

You know how when you log off of Windows XP, it displays "Saving your settings..." and saves your profile (icon arrangements, desktop status, etc)? Is it possible to save those "settings" without logging off?

It's not a restore point. The Internet has failed me thus far. Any help appreciated.

I live near the Galleria, so it's a bit more convenient to go see the Roughriders than it is to see the big club. Do any of you go regularly?

What's attendance like? Ticket prices? Hell, is it even worth it?

I've never been to a minor league game, but I imagine for one who loves the game, it's just as good of an experience as the show.

What a great game early in the EPL season. I can't believe Gerrard is starting with a fractured toe.. it's too early in the season for that nonsense.

I know there are a few proper football fans on this site, I guess this can be an open thread for that.

Oh, and my Man City club is on top of the league today with the 1-0 win against ManU. I think I'm more happy about that win than I am the standings.
