What is an MVP?
I don’t know how the league determines who receives the MVP award. But if it goes by its name then it should go to the player who is most valued by their team… (Obviously)
Example:
“(Player A) is more valuable to the (Team A) then (Player B) is valuable to the (Team B).”
“Player A” should receive the Award (even if “Player B” has better stats or a bigger contract then “Player A”) simply because “Player A” is still more valuable to his team.
Is Tom ‘Estragon’ Brady the most valuable player on the Patriots? He is a heck of a player, but is he the most valued? It seems that whenever “Professionals” are discussing who deserves the MVP they talk about stats.
“Tom Brady has a 21 touchdowns to 0 interceptions streak, He leads the league in QB rating, and has the least amount of interceptions.”
Bravo. If he was competing for the Heisman, then Brady is a sure pick, but the MVP isn’t about stats, it’s about what kind of value they bring to their team.
Same goes for Philip Rivers. Stats don’t make an MVP.
Michael Vick is truly a beast. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more talented and versatile quarterback, but I think the Eagles would have similar success with Kolb.
So, in my opinion it comes down to Matt Ryan and Matt Cassel.
They don’t’ have great stats, they don’t have big names, they haven’t won super bowls, and they aren’t the face of any popular company (Uggs, Sony, etc.) But in my opinion, they are valued by their team more then any other player is valued by theirs’.
Yes, I’m probably a little bias, but hey; If Matt Cassel leads this team to the playoffs, he deserves the MVP award. And if he doesn’t get it, then I would strongly suggest that the NFL changes the name of the award from ‘Most Valuable Player’, to… ‘(Insert name of random NFL legend here)’
Agree?
Chiefs Will
Chiefs will. What is it? Is it an unseen force, such as Gravity or Love? Is it what drives 75,000+ individuals to unite as one and cheer their hearts out every Sunday? Is it what causes full grown men to fall to their knees in despair at one moment, and then cause them act like a child on Christmas morning at others?
I think so.
But how would you describe Chiefs Will? Can you? Is it even possible? How do you describe Love or Hate? You know it’s there, because you feel it; but it just can’t be described. Yet, we’re positive it exists because of the effect it has on us.
Chiefs Will causes the whole mood of your week to depend on whether we win or lose.
Chiefs Will causes you to make noise on 3rd down, thinking that maybe they’ll hear you through the TV set.
Chiefs Will causes you to have one of your pals play the role of Arrowhead’s PA announcer, shouting, "That’s good for a Kansas City Chiefs…" after a good first down.
Chiefs Will causes you to fly half way across America to join in the Sea of Red.
Chiefs Will causes you to get mad at the TV stations when they spell our quarterback’s name "MATT CASSELL"
Chiefs Will causes you to end the phrase "Peace, Love…" with "..and Chiefs Will"
Chiefs Will causes you to wake up from a bad dream about the Chiefs... then throw up.
Chiefs Will causes you to hate the Oakland Raiders because… well even God himself rejects them.
"Damn you to Oakland!"
Chiefs Will causes you to not eat a half-hour before the game, because you don’t want to puke it back up… if the game happens to be close.
Chiefs Will causes you to feel dirty after a situation where you must root for the Raiders.
Chiefs Will causes you to have faith simply because you know that in the end, Chiefs Will will reward you.
Chiefs Will is what causes us have a New Hope, but the Same Faith.

Cassel to Moss
Week 10: Broadcasting?
I have NFL Sunday Ticket, but for week 10 I'll be in PA visiting my cousin who is visiting from Australia. So I was looking for a sports grill in that area or something so I could watch our game vs. the Donkeys. Then I noticed that our game is the only game listed at 4:00 for CBS that week. Does that mean that it will be shown nation-wide (Aka, I can watch it from my relatives house), or does CBS sometimes just not bother with "boring" 4:00 games?
After Week7?
(Ignore the percentages, they're off.)
The Texans game made me sick...
...Literally. This morning at 4:00 I woke up from a bad dream about the game. The thought of the game was giving me a sick feeling in my stomach, I puked shortly after. When people asked why I wasn't at work today, I said it was because the Chiefs lost :)
Dear Cassel Haters
(If you are in support of Cassel, this is not directed towards you.)
For some reason you guys find ways to blame Cassel for the Chiefs failure.
Let me start off by saying,
It's not Matt Cassel!
It's the Chiefs. Matt Cassel is a good quarterback; we (any person with knowledge of the NFL) know that as a fact. Any guy that can lead ANY NFL team to an 11-5 record is a talented player. I don't care if he didn't do so great last year. That was caused by his lack of supporting cast. If he doesn't do great this year; again, it will be because he doesn't have enough talent around him.
If any other quarterback in the NFL gets sacked in less then 2 seconds, people, rightfully, say it's the lines fault. But if it's Cassel, then ‘OBVIOUSLY, he held onto the ball too long.'
I'm so sick of hearing people blame Cassel. A football team has 53 members, all of equal importance. None of the 53 members can succeed without the others doing their part.
We know Cassel can succeed with talent around him. Period. Go ahead, and say the Chiefs suck. But DON'T deny the fact that Cassel has skill.
It doesn't matter how stacked the Patriots were. It takes skill to perform in the NFL.
"he hasn’t proved anything yet" Are you kidding me? Leading a team to 11-5, getting 2 consecutive 400 yard passing games, handling the pressure, and showing the leadership he showed doesn't prove anything?!
Here's an idea for all you haters; Get into the NFL, make your way to starting QB, and lead your team to 11-5. Then tell me you aren't talented.
The coaches know he has talent and can lead a team, that's why they paid him. If they're smart, they will continue to put more talent around him. If not, and he doesn’t perform well this year, he’s gone. And I truly believe once he leaves this team he will succeed (with the exception of him going somewhere like Tampa Bay, St. Louis, etc.) Don’t get me wrong, I hope he can succeed here; but if we listen to your ‘2 cents’ it looks like he won’t.
We’re all frustrated with the Chiefs, but please; don’t take it out on Cassel.

I might have made a few technical mistakes :-\
Terrell Owens
Ok, I know what most of you are thinking. But if we could get him in here for cheap; then why would't we. He is going to want to play somewhere in 2010. And not very many teams are interested in him. He’s unrestricted; and can bring something to this team. He really doesn’t have that much of an attitude issue anymore. Imagine Bowe, Chambers, Owens, and Tate; and then Charles and Jones in the back field. I get pretty excited thinking about that. I think we should just bring him in (If he doesn’t sign with Cincinnati) and see how it goes.
What about Ben Watson?
The title says it.
Aside from weather we want this or not, is this a realistic trade?
Three way trade.
Cassel to Denver (From Chiefs)
Orton to St. Louis (From Denver)
Overall #1 2010 draft pick to Kansas City (From St. Louis)
Overall # 5 Draft pick to St. Louis (From Kansas City) (Basically a "trade up")

How many of you want this? We could have our own little trademark...like Boise State. lol, is this even legal in the NFL?
Dumb thing to do since we're all bored: Let's dream.
Here is just a fun thing to do, since we’re all bored. I’m guessing most of us have made a Madden super star of ourselves; won the super bowl and felt all proud of ourselves; and then remembered it’s just a game. Well let’s pretend everyone in the NFL wanted you, and you got to chose where you would go. What position are you best at, and of out ALL the teams, where would you go? Yes this is dumb but we’ve got nothing better to do. (Except watch 24, but that’s later)
New uniforms?
Is it time for new uniforms? New era, new jerseys? I mean, not to different looking from our old ones but ya know...21st centery?
Cassel to Panthers?
Hey guys,
I’m a Chiefs fan, but first and foremost I’m a Matt Cassel fan. I’ve been criticized a lot by other Chiefs fans for that. It’s a long story. Basically I followed Matt throughout his entire career, was excited when he took over Brady’s job last year and was ecstatic when he was traded to the Chiefs…until now. Quite frankly I’m disgusted to be associated with Chiefs fans right now. They are hating on Matt Cassel like crazy. And the funny thing is, he’s doing badly because the Chiefs are bad. I can see why they are frustrated because they haven’t been winning much, but Matt Cassel and Todd Haley can’t turn them around in one season. I’m not going to lie, I AM partial to Cassel, but we all saw how good he was in New England. I’m not saying he’s better than Tom Brady, but if Brady went to Kansas City, I don’t think he would be doing much better than Cassel. (Cassel is mobile, Brady is not.) And that’s if Brady even survived the season.
Well anyway, there has been some talk about how Cassel might be traded once the year is done. I think that you guys are a likely candidate if this indeed does happen. First, do you guys need a quarterback, or are you ok in that area? And second would you guys want Matt Cassel. I’m not going to say Jake Delhomme is doing bad cause I know I wouldn’t want people judging Cassel by his stats. (Stats don’t give the full story) And is Moore any good? So basically, do you guys need a quarterback, and would you want Cassel?
Please state your opinion without insulting Matt Cassel or anyone else. Thank you!
Good luck the rest of this year!

Cassel for the 2011 Pro Bowl!
Should I become a Longhorns fan?
Hey!
I'm a teen, I'm a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan, and I've never really been into college football before, but I want to. But before I can become a huge college fan, I need to pick a favorite team. My options are you guys (The Longhorns), Notra Dame, and the Florida Gators. I like the Longhorns because I love Texas and I plan to go to The University of Dallas and eventually live there. By the way, what town are the Longhorns in? I like Notra Dame becasue my family has always sorta liked them, and I like the Gators casue I like Tim Tebow. But basicly I want to know why you guys think I should be a Texas fan. :-) I'm going around to all the SB Nation sites and seeing how nice the fans are! :-) And I'm leaning towards the Longhorns. And don't worry I AM NOT a fareweather fan. Once I find my guys, there my guys! Just look Im a Chiefs fan! haha. I appreciate it!
Matt Cassel
I really think that Matt Cassel is doing fine. We have to remember that last Sunday was his first real game with his new team. Plus he was coming off an injury. All this talk about how we should have never traded for Cassel and how we should have drafted Sanchez, IMO, is because we’re all scared that this year is gonna be just as bad as last year. I just really hope that Matt Cassel isn’t the scapegoat if the Chiefs don’t do good (Which isn’t likely anyway J) I think we should be grateful for the quarterback that we have, even if he doesn’t do so good his first couple of starts. The last thing I was to see is Cassel getting booed off the field by his home crowd. The best thing would be for us to keep on believing in him until it’s completely IMPOSSIBLE! J What do you think guys?
Clown suits
I just thought this was interesting...give me your thoughts.
How much $ should i bring to the game?
Hey guys,
Im just here asking for more arrowhead advice. :) So in my last post i mentions that I was going to the game againts the giants on October 4th and that I had never been to a game before. I was just wondering how much food costs in the stadium? like...
Hotdogs
Soda
Water
Pizza
Chilli cheese fries
French fries
etc...?
And how many gift shops are there in arrowhead. And are they ridiculously expensive?
With that said...how much money should I bring???
Thanks guys!
QBs on the depth chart
So we all know that Matt Cassel is going to be the starter, but now we all have to speculate on whether Croyle, Thigpen or Gutierrez will get the #2 spot. For Matt G's sake I hope he plays outstanding in training camp and wins the #2 spot. Since he was 3 or 4th string for so long in NE. I hope Thigpen gets the #3 spot so we can have some fun with the wildcat this year. So that leaves Croyle. He's to good a player to dump but who says he can stay healthy?
My hopes for the Chiefs' QB's
Starter: Matt Cassel
2nd String: Matt G.
3rd String: Tyler T.
4th String: Brodie C.
Things I should know?
So I got tickets today for the Chiefs vs. Giants game. :-D Is there anything I should know before I go. Such as chants, what food to buy, cool things inside the stadium? And how early do I have to get there to get a parking spot. Random things like that. I'm a big chiefs fan, but I've never bee to a game. :-\ Mostly becasue I don't live anywhere near Kansas City.
I've got a question?
Hey guys, I'm wanna go to Arrowhead for a game this year and I was wondering how fast tickets sell. I'm looking for the nose bleed corner sections. (the dark red) btw, why do the dark red sections not have a seating number? I might be busy on Friday at 10:00 AM does that mean I'm not gonna get tickets? Thanks so much for your help guys! I look foward to going!
