Originally from Kansas City; born in ’62, have been a chiefs’ fan ever since our victory in Super Bowl IV. Now reside in Albuquerque – the NFL fandom equivalent of being in Dallas/Denver at the same time..

Romeo as HC?
Adam Schefter just reported on NFL Countdown that the Chiefs are planning to retain Romeo has their Head Coach..
Favorite NFC team?
Since I don't care for any other professional sport, I got to thinking.. what NFC team do I casually follow? I'd have to admit, the Giants. What say you; if you had to pick - what is your favorite NFC team (and why)?
C'MON MAN!
ESPN's C'MON MAN! segment tonight featured the Chiefs goal-line stuff of Indy RB Carter (Sweetness, he was not).
In case you missed it..
NFLN scheduled to air our Thursday night game @ Green Bay tonight,10:00pm CST.
Buffalo Bills
Did anyone notice the Bills new road uniforms this weekend @ Chicago? Very subtle, they're wearing the white helmet - only the Buffalo depicted isn't standing still (old school style) its streaking.. Well, that's the only recon I have for our opening regular season game with them; looking forward to it!
SIRIUS XM radio offering 7 day free subscription for mobile users..
I took advantage of this starting yesterday - neat thing for a 'draft junkie' like me.. NFL Radio 24/7.

Hello Lion Nation!
This is chiefsfan62.
I don't pretend to speak for my fellow Chiefs Fans, but it is no secret that I sincerely hope we select Eric Berry with our #5 pick.
That said, from an outsider looking in - I'm quite curious as to who Lions will be picking with their 2nd overall selection this year. It seems to me that you all would be wanting to increase protection for your franchise Sophmore Quarterback - so Okung might be the obvious choice.
But maybe, your offensive line is solid. And you really need help on the defensive line and would like to see Suh or McCoy.
Hopefully not, but maybe you all would like to take Superman, er - Eric Berry (please don't).
I know, you've probably have been bashing this on a daily basis since the Super Bowl, but this weeks showing of Bradford sure has the Rams salvitating, so....
Assuming St. Louis takes Bradford - what is the general concensus among Pride Of Detroit as to who will be taken with your pick?

A POWER Pig???

Last night I was waching NFLN and when the crew were talking about Defensive Tackles, Jamie Dukes affectionately busted out with the term POWER Pig to differentiate the type of Nose Tackle 'Mount' Cody is as opposed to Suh or McCoy - in fact, Terrence Cody was compared to Vince Wilfork. To me, the POWER Pig is a good old fashioned 2-Gap Nose who will eat up the middle and demand a double team!

Ranking our Receiving Corps!
In the modern era of the NFL, we typically see 3 Receiver sets. Ideally, this combination will hope to produce, (sometimes individually - but often collectively) a:
1) Vertical Threat (speedster) - someone who can stretch the field; although aging, Chambers has shown flashes.
2) Leaper - a player who can go up and catch the ball at 'its highest point'; in the corner of the End Zone, perhaps. We've seen that at times with DBowe, but he definitely needs more consistency to fit that bill.
3) Possession (slot guy) who can make the tough catch over the middle and help move the sticks. Is Bobby Wade really our best at this? I'm not convinced.
The NFL Scouting Combine will be held February 24 – March 2, 2010.
If you're like me, you've already cleared your schedule; or better yet, have set the DVR.
So, tell me which group will you be following the most at this week's NFL Scouting Combine - and why?
Here's mine:
1. Defensive Line (looking at the NTs!)
2. Receivers (will we find our next all-pro guy?)
3. Secondary (is Berry really 'all that'?)
4. Linebackers (or is McClain what we need?)
5. Offensive Line (about a Center, or RG?)
6. Running Backs (a thunder back?)
7. Quarterbacks (a project guy?)
8. Punters/Kickers (were good right?)
Ranking NFL Uniforms 1-32
All right, this is my first FanPost (hope I do it right) so I thought I'd start of with something kind of light but fun. Hopefully, its not too lame...
After THE JUMP are my favorite - to least favorite NFL Uniforms 1-32 (not teams themselves); what say you?
