Ahhh the catch (well, not THE catch but its still pretty good).
So everyone, now that we have actual real live honest to God football to discuss and that nightmare of an off-season is over, I wanted to show you what I've been keeping myself busy with (besides work, playing with my dog, and traveling around with my woman).
I guess this, more than any other year so far, will be the year of the smartphone. I know iphones have been around for a while and the fanboys have been into apple/android for a couple years now at least. However, looking around at the penetration numbers, it is safe to say that due to tech advancement and sweet price points a very very large number of Americans now live and die by the little computer in their pockets.
What does this mean for the Chiefs CIC? Well, I'll tell ya.... I don't know about you but the thing I love about mine is how completely customizable (screw you little red line, it's a word!) everything is. Which to me means one thing, Chiefs Themed Phones!

Uh, no – Haley’s strong personality is the guiding force behind K.C.’s renaissance. And though he has had his share of rough edges, he has the Chiefs at 8-4 with a two-game lead in the AFC West … and only one of their defeats (at Denver) was decisive.
Sunday Bloody Sunday
• Don't get within an area code of the Oakland/San Diego game. This rivalry is to the NFL what Jennifer and Angelina are to the E! network. For a time, there were so many brawls at this game that the San Diego police installed a makeshift jail in the bowels of the stadium. Saved time.
The game is this Sunday in San Diego and it's the jersey-jerk capital of the world. It's their own little World War III. For some reason, Raiders fans, especially, will risk broken hands, rearranged eyes and night court to defend the honor of their team. But you wonder if they realize that 21 of the current Raiders weren't even on their roster last season and probably another 21 will be somewhere else next season, wearing jerseys Raiders fans must despise. To paraphrase Jerry Seinfeld, these people are knifing each other over laundry.
Todd Haley is Mr. Challenge: When Todd Haley throws the red flag, he must know something. Heading into Sunday’s road game at Seattle, Haley is a perfect 3-for-3 on official challenges this season, according to ESPN Stats & Information. He is the only coach in the NFL who is perfect this season. So, if you see Haley yank out the challenge flag out Sunday, Chiefs fans, you’ll have to like his chances.

Didn't we have a couple of games against the donks where there were like 6 Brandons in? We had Brandons: Flowers, Carr, Albert They had Brandons: Stokley, Marshall, Loyd That's A LOT of Brandons folks! How many are there this time 'round?
• And speaking of absurd snubs, let's move to the AFC, where I'm also forced to stop ignoring the Chiefs. The effort they put up on the road against the Colts was their most impressive performance yet. I still don't think Matt Cassel(notes) is even an average quarterback, but here's what I do believe: I believe Charlie Weis can effectively hide Cassel, I believe the Kansas City defense is no joke, and I believe there's some serious talent in their running game. I hereby apologize for ignoring the Chiefs for this long. I am dumb.

Had a great trip in Bali and Nusa Lembongan and managed to bring (and not lose) my chiefs ball.

So on the day Favre Mania hit the interwebs, I was at one of the fake markets here in Shanghai.
I occasionally swing by this sports jersey stall to see what Chiefs stuff they have in there just for shits and giggles. I have seen the whites for LJ and TGreen in the past mostly.
Today right on front however (and this has to be mere hours after the announcement) i saw this little gem. Mindbogglingly premeditated planning by these merchants that have little to no interest/knowledge in NFL.
After I snapped this pic, they yelled at me so it sucks that i couldnt snap the pic of the white for Dorsey (ha!) and throwback for DT (!!!!) The quality is about average but DT's could be had for about 12 bucks and Dorsey for 8.
I will be picking some of these up later and wearing them and taking pics at various places in my travels here. (chiefs @ great wall etc...)
On a related note... Friday's game @ Vikes will be Saturday morning for me and I'll be on my way to the airport for my Bali, Indonesia vacation (so i'll be checking in via mobile wifi at the airport!!!)
