I am so glad that there is only one more preseason game left. I am ready for some real football. You know sports are bad when they are broadcasting soccer. After reading training camp posts and watching the first three preseason games I have a glimpse of an evaluation of some players that can really impact this team

1) Flowers is my top. Barring injury he has been a stud. Nice run back on the td. When he was out we got torched by them birds. He will be a pro-bowler.

2) Tamba is next. He made himself look like a bitch last year. He has that anger back. He might not get a lot of sacks but qb's are gonna get knocked around and hes gonna get in their heads and cause plays to f-up. That's almost as good as a sack.

3) The LSU trio: 3 first round picks from LSU in three years. I guess its true, the SEC is college football's NFL. Except we here in SoCal represent USC. Whether you like them or not, none of you SEC teams want a piece of Carroll and the boys from the Coliseum. Anyways, Bowe and Jackson have looked good and I'm convinced that Dorsey next to Jackson will be a dominant force. Why would they get worse when they were in college dominating together? Better coaches, conditioning, and practice will make for a dominate line. By the way, has D-Bowe dropped any passes in the pre-season yet? Haley is gonna be on his ass all year, so I expect a big year.

4) Mayes: This guy does not want to look like a dud for the third time. He has a charge and has something to prove. He might take the place for Zach.

5) L.J. Ya I said it. He's gonna get used a lot if we can't protect the qb. He still can't block, so he will be a primary runner. If he can get 25 carries a game, he will start wearing down defenses. Remember the stat on every time he ran for over a hundred yards the Chiefs won. I think Herm ruined that, put it is still a high percentage of games won. He has a lot of legs left. Don't give up on him because he has a shitty attitude. I think when we start winning again, you will see his attitude change.

6) Tony: Oh ya, we traded our best offensive player. I forgot. Pioli's first Carl move.

One more question for you AP peeps. Did Herm bring Chan over because of Croyle? I though I remember reading that, but I could be wrong. Are we gonna see him as our week one starter if Cassel can't go. Be kinda of funny if he did good finally. To bad we have an O-line that would put him out for the season again.

Anyways, sorry if anyone is is some crappy weather. Its a nice 85 and brezzy right now so I'm gonna go and enjoy not sweating.

REALISTIC QUESTIONS FOR ALL THE AP DEDICATED CHIEFS FANS.

I love the Chiefs as well as we all do. We are the ones posting and commenting on the team when its baseball season. That says a lot (about how boring baseball can be). Plus Chiefs football and football in general rules!!! Given all the changes going on in KC this year: do AP members really see this team as a top tier team within the next three years? Is Pioli all he's hyped up to be? Can a first year head coach lead us to the promise land? Will the team we currently have on the roster be able to adapt to the 3-4 defense. What about the O-Line? I thought Arizona's D wasn't that good, is that D-Coordinator any good? The Cassel thing is played out, but do you think he is a one-hit wonder? Is the offense gonna stink with out TG. Is LJ gonna stop spitting drinks on bitches he thinks are trash and run people down like he used to?

By the way, how do you insert a picture? I must be a tard, but I can't seem to do it right.

I am really impressed with the posts and comments and would love to hear what you think. I'm trying to get myself pumped up. July-mid August is tough for me in regards to sports. I want to see some teeth knocked out. Anyways looking forward to the season and glad there are still some dedicated fans from all over.

BECAUSE I'M BORED LET'S PLAY GM FOR THE DAY

Well the same things seem to get discussed and since we have a long ways to go to see some football, I figure lets see who thinks the best available free agents are that can fill the holes you think the team still has.

Pick which position you think we need help in, and pick your top player per position that you would choose to improve the team.

Everyone on this sight seems very informed on the Chiefs so I'm looking forward to seeing your GM skills. You can get the list of available free agents on the free agent tracker on NFL.com.

Here are my feelings on needs and who I think would improve our team:

QB:I still think we are lacking back-ups because I am not sold on Croyle even being in the NFL. I also think that there is no one available that would improve the team. J.P. Lossman has potential but we got the best free agent.

TE:I think we need some experience here without T.G. I'm gonna miss watching him in the red and gold. I like Owen Daniels and am actually surprised he hasn't been picked up. He would be an immediate improvement to that position.

FB: If your going to have a full back, you might as well get a tough one, and I'm not sold on Mike Cox. Unfortunately there are no FB available. There is a 260 pnd 6-2' running back that was a rookie from Jac. Anthony Cotrone. I wouldn't want to get smacked by a rb that big. He'd be worth checking out.

WR: I think Haley was successful because he had three bad ass receivers. If he wants to run his O like that I'm not to convinced on our receiving core. Bowe still needs to get better at catching the ball. Bradley has potential but I'm not completely sold. Engram's pretty old for a receiver. He gets hurt a lot to. Webb still has a lot of work.

It seems like there are a lot of big names out there. Harrison, Buress, Boldin(I know he's not a free agent, but he is available), I don't care what any one says. Harrison and Plex are both immediate and huge improvements to what we have and I would sign them both. I also think DJ Hackett and Reggie Williams have a lot of potential that can be developed. We would have a sick group of receivers with Bowe, Harrison, and Plex. To bad Plex is probably gonna sit out this year.

O-Line:I think we could of got some players that were available earlier in the year but they got swooped up. We are the weakest here on offense and this could make or break the season. I think RT is still a problem and has never been corrected since Carl transition tagged Tait. One of his top five dumbest moves all time!!! D-Mac is average at best. Goff can play the RG and I think he will do well at that spot. Lets see what happens at center. Unfortunately, I don't see any free agent improvements. I hope we draft or get lucky with a FA on our holes here.

I will do the Defense on another post later.

Sorry this isn't up to some peoples standards when it comes to posts. I just like the fact that there are Chiefs fans that want to discuss the Chiefs year round. You guys rule. Go Chiefs!!!

QUESTION FOR KC LOCALS

I'm from Cali and we go to see the Chiefs every year a couple times a year. We didn't go to KC last year because they stunk and I didn't want to drop the money on a bad product. There are quite a few home games that seem interesting this year. My questions are: Is the construction going on make it a fiasco. Did the price of tickets go up this year? Can you park at the stadium, or is the construction making that an ordeal. Plus if you had to pick two home games this year, which two would you pick. Don't count the Chargers cause we go to the game down here. Thanks.

I really want to have hope this guy pans out. Here is my questions. Do you think he was only good because of Moss, Welker, the Pats O-Line and Bellichek (sorry I missed spelled). Does it seem weird that Croyle started and broke school records for a big program school and Cassel rode the bench behind Palmer and Leinart. What happened . At least you have a hot wife. Is he well suited for the spread? Who the hell is he gonna throw it to besides Bowe, who still has to learn to catch the easy ones? I don't know, I"m sure its been discussed, I just was wondering if you felt these were legit questions?

IF HERM WAS STILL HERE WOULD THIS OF BEEN HIS YEAR?

Herm was supposedly supposed to bring this team to the playoffs in year three of the rebuild. Does anyone think he might of actually done that or is he really just not a good head coach? I don't know if they dumped him to early. I know he said it would take three years, but damn, last year was just a disaster. At least the offense made it some what entertaining for some of the middle season and a few later games, but all around bad performance for a pro team. Did Herm get ousted to quick or not. My opinion is no. He needs to never be more than a coordinator or scout if he every leaves the broadcast booth.

YOUTH OR EXPERIENCE?

I've always been a believer that a good NFL team need a good combination of both with youth being 60% and experience being 40%. Vermeil used experience( not enough youth or good youth), and Herm went young (a little to much of young in my opinion). It seems like the good teams have a pretty even mix. Whats your take and do you think this years Chief team has a good balance in regards to a youth and experience mix.
