James Carpenter injuried?

Anyone hear anything about this? I just went to the ferg to buy some x-mas presents from the UA's book arts program and After I finally got parked and walked in I saw Carpenter walking up the stairs in front of me wearing one of those huge protective boots. He was not in noticeable pain or anything and was just moving slow. In some ways I hate the long wait till the NC game because it gives the other team time to study up and be ready ( I guess it also gives us that time) but it also lets you rest up and heal so its good in some ways too. My guess is that it is just a tweak and the boot was just cautionary.

I don't know how you could let him play after getting picked up for dui on the Tuesday before the game. It wasn't just driving and got pulled over he was asleep at the wheel. In a way I'm glad he might not play but in anthor way it would slightly cheapen a victory. I am sure that Florida has good depth but he was the defensive mvp of the champinship game last year. My 30th Birthday party in Tuscaloosa Friday night

This is my 30th Birthday so we are having a big hootenanny. It starts with me Hanging out at Happy Hour at Egans from two till nine panhanding money for a casino trip on Sunday and just generally drinking and having a good. At 9:30 we have a special taping of wellthatscool.com podcast live from egans with special guest TJ from towerofbammer.com. At 10:30 we have my old band Chinese Dentist playing with special guest "I can't believe its not a jam band" featuring Ben Scott(The Great Big No) on bass, Adam Watkins(Deacon Green) on Guitar, Mikey Oswalt( Blaine Duncan and the Lookers) on drums and Daniel Welch (The Great Big No)on keys. This is the night before Tennessee so it should be really hoping. Come help me have a Birthday party that will be both hard to remember and impossible to forget.

I got lazy and copyed my face book event but if anyone is in Town Friday I'd love to shoot the breeze and have a beer with you. It'll be a whole day at egans with me knocking the dust off and opening Saturday morning at 8.

It was really good to meet bens4vcobra as well as to get to see bamavik and bamareturns07. I wish i'd got to talk to you guys more. This was the first game this year that we were in the weeds all day. I had people waiting for me at 7am when I got there. It was non stop all day and when I got off at 7pm I had to take some friends home (they had had a little to much team sprite ) So soory if any one stopped by after the game. But anyone from the board is always welcome I just dig talking with the rbr people.

P.s Bamavik did you drop my hat off by egans? My wife will straight up kill me if I don't get it back its kind of a high $$$ hat

The podcast I do here (wellthatscool.com) in Tuscaloosa is hosting a "Messing with Texas Weekend" sponsered by Good People beer at the Mellow Mushroom on Friday Sept. 18th and 19th . On Friday my old Band Chinese Dentist will be reforming and playing some funky rock music with special guest Armless Victory playing weird up beat computer music. Armless Victory is also known as "alabama Man Dance" over at his blog "towerofbammer.com". Grandpa here hardly ever gets to play anymore and I have a feeling that staying up till 3:00 am and then opening egans at 7:30 is gonna be rough. So if your feeling froggy come out and see my band if for no other reason then to come by and make fun of how bad I feel at the bar Saturday morning. On Saturday at the Mushroom we have three bands Model Citizen, Lee Bains III, and the Classic Flame. Model Citizen is fast paced rock fronted by Matt Patton from "The Dexateens". Lee Bains III is anther Dexateen that used to front the Birmingham band Arkadelphia ,this is gonna be his new band featuring the above mentioned Matt on bass and Brian from the Dexateens and also bartender from the "Nick" in Birmingham on drums. As mentioned Good People Beer is helping sponsor this fine event which means that their really good beer will cost the same as bud or bud light, miller lite or any of the other cheap stuff . So if you wanna come out and enjoy a rocking good time with rocking good beer with people who love the Tide please come out and talk some football and beer with me.

p.s at 7:00 pm at the Bama theater in Downtown Tuscaloosa. The druidcitydrinkingclub.org is showing "the Big Lobowski" (the link is to the facebook fo the movie)with specials on White Russians. The soundtrack listening starts at 7 with the movie at 8. Then you can stroll a block down and see Chinese Dentist. If that does not sound like an awesome few nights in Tuscaloosa I don't know what is.

Courtney Upshaw arrested

Courtney Upshaw arrested last night in Tuscaloosa. his mug shot. I was on my way to work this morning and some guy was on the opening drive was talking about Upshaw being at these apts last night that Courtney hangs out with friends and a lady friend.There was a argument and as he was leaving some guy smashed a beer bottle over his head. I don't know if this guy really knows anything but seemed to imply that Upshaw was trying to leave and after he was hit they tangled a bit and when the police got there they were both bloody so both got taken in. The charge however was domestic violence three (DVIII) so I don't know what to make of this. I know that this worries me I think CNS has no choice but to suspend him for a while but hopefully the truth will come out that it was not his fault.

So on Thursday me and my little lady Becky introduced the new and best bama fan to the world." Little debbie dark lord saban Hicks" weighed in at 6lbs 11oz and was 20 inches long. So her real name is Audrey Tallulah Hicks, Becky seemed to think my name was a little too much or something. The Tallulah was my idea though, how can you go wrong with a famous Alabamian of the past. I had really crappy wifi at St. Vincent's so I was a little late in posting this but I 'm stoked to have such a awesome force pulling for the tide and I hope I get to see some of ya'll at egans this season. I still get to work games this year because it is the official diaper fund. I found out about this after the Auburn game this year so I really think she was conceived under a good sign.

Evan Cardwell Done

Evan Cardwell Is out according to the Press Register with a long standing back injury. This bums me a little. I know William Vlachos preformed well in the spring. I just can't help but think that maybe this injury helped him win the job. I thought Cardwell was a lock at center before spring or at least some where on the o-line. He was a senior,played meaningful time and at the very least would have been a good back up. I just worry about Vlachos size (6' 305) I guess Dark lord saban knows best but still hate to hear this about a guy who has stayed out of trouble and worked hard for us for years.
