So, I read everyone's recaps of the exit interviews and had a nice warm fuzzy feeling about everyone except Joni. However, in order to spread the time out, I decided to slowly watch them over time. I just finished Erik Cole's last night and frankly I'm a little concerned. To me, it sounded like he's gone. When you listened to other pending free agents, they moreso volunteered that "I love it here/I want to stay/etc."

Now, maybe Erik Cole is just smarter about business than the others, but to me he sounded offended he wasn't given an "A" and not committed at all to stay here. They literally had to pull it out of him that he liked being on the team.

I think I had just always assumed he was going to re-sign, but now I'm concerned. Does any one else agree? If not, please talk me off the ledge b/c I think he's necessary for us.

First off--who's going? Should be awesome. Can't wait to make the trek again as last time was a blast.

Second, two of my friends who were supposed to go with us can't go. Anyone need two tickets? They are AWESOME seats. Center Ice (section 114) in Row B, can't do much better.

Let me know if you are interested and we can tackle logistics via email. I'm just selling them for face value, no worries :)

So, Samson seems to be tearing it up in the AHL. In addition, this preseason, I thought he looked great. My question is, why do you think he never gets the callup? Everytime I've watched him, I've noticed him and thought he played great. In addition, you can't ask for much better performance than he is giving in Charlotte.

People who have a much keener eye than myself let me know what I am not seeing. As a next question--after Boychuck and Dalpe, who do you think should be the next "go-to" prospect for callups? Osala? Bowman? Nash? Samson? Matsumoto?

Hey! I was thinking about trying to do some of those learn to play hockey clinics at either IcePlex or RecZone. I had a couple of questions because I'm guessing many of you have played hockey before....

1) Any thoughts on which place is better? Specifically for beginners?

2) What would you all recommend for starting gear? I know the list of everything if you play in a league--but obviously I'd like to get the minimum for learning to play at the clinics/free skate stuff, then if I like it get the rest. What would you recommend to get? Is Five-Hole Sports the best place to get this stuff?

3) Any tips on where you can go cheap versus where you need to pay money in terms of equipment? Or perhaps a better question, what pieces of equipment do you need to invest in versus things that matter less.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Ok, so pardon my ignorance, but this is our first year going to this thing. What do people wear? Is this like a jeans thing or do people come in their jerseys?Or something different? Just want to make sure I don't look stupid.

Next, with it starting at 5pm, there is a chance we won't get there till later. Is that okay? Is the format such that it is ok to come late?

Lastly, who else will be there?

So, I've got a business trip to Phoenix that is unfortunately going to keep me from going to the home opener...however, my wife and I are lucky enough that we are in Phoenix when the Canes will be there on 10/23! Tickets are purchased and I am a happy camper. My first road game ever!

So--we've decided we absolutely have to make a sign regarding Ray Whitney, and we need your help for suggestions. Ideally, its gotta be something that takes a jab, but not so mean that they will throw us out. I'd love for them to show it on FSC so that all the Caniacs can enjoy so it's gotta be clever as well.

Suggestions???

From my email....order form packets are going out late this week. Prices are:

1) Upper Level Package: $200 per seat

2) Lower Level Package: $260 per seat

My questions are still:

a) Are we going to be able to order more than our seat numbers? I thought before no, but the wording of the email makes me think otherwise. (for instance: "order forms")

b) Are "packages" including tickets for both days?

I don't know what I was expecting price wise, but I think the answer to b) will hopefully settle if I think this is fair or not.
