My not-so-mocky mock
I kind of hate mock drafts.... I like reading other people's attempts because I learn about prospects, but their value as predictions seems dubious. Too often it reflects biases about "sexy" positions, or folks falling in love with a particular player (who if they are really as great as they think, typically isn't available where they mock them).
End of year sack rates by footballoutsiders
Starts out commenting on the bad StL oline, but then gives more evidence that TT needs to learn to "pull the trigger" and get rid of the ball... over 5% of dropbacks resulting in holding the ball too long and being sacked more than 3seconds after dropping back won't cut it. There is creating something off broken plays, and there is slow reads/refusal to pull the trigger... TT desperately needs to figure out that balance.
Rams fans are sad... even more than Broncos fans
While I haven't been super impressed with how Denver fans have handled some organizational adversity the past few years, I have t agree with the Hogs Haven folks that the Rams fans may be the saddest....
The rams blog response is great.
Sample Size, "Clutchiness" and Probabilities - Why your eyes are probably lying to you
Recently there was a discussion in a thread about whether the concept of “clutch” was logically supportable, and in particular whether our very own Kyle Orton was “anti-clutch”, and therefore a bad QB.
Over the past year I’ve been lumped in with the “Orton Fan Club” and/or Tebow Hater group… let me just say that the first is probably true, but the second (the TT Hater Group) is absolutely false. I would be very happy with an outcome of trading Orton for 2nd rounder. I’m really excited to see what TT can do, and getting good value for Orton (either on the team or through trade) has always been my overriding desire.
As such, I’ve also probably been identified by many of you as a giant pain in the butt. My wife would probably agree ;-) Overall, what I am is a scientist, economist and analyst, and strongly reliant on logic and data-driven argument… in many cases, this can run against “conventional wisdom”, which I often find to be conventional, but not particularly wise.

Quentin Mickell available?
If Q. Mickell is leaving Philly he could be an interesting pickup. I'm hesitant of relying on 30yr old DBs, but this is the guy that made Dawk expendable in Philly.... would seem to be an upgrade on Hill or Dawk if the price were right....
Jeff Saturday talks about why the players decertified
Interesting transcript/interview with Jeff Saturday on why the players decertified when they did...
He has a point... now we can have the courts resolve this and get back to football.
Good post on zone blocking
Rufio over on the Dawgs-by-Nature SB site has an interesting post... looks like it may be part of a larger series, similar to MHR-U (though of course we know it can't compare to HT's excellence ;-)
dchash_IDP league
Running a big Individual Defensive Player (IDP) fantasy league on yahoo... would love to have some other Denver fans join the fun.
To allow other managers to join your league, send them the League ID# and Password. In your case, the ID# is 694730 and the Password is onon
