JoePA named GOP president candidate in 2012
After his ultra conservative play calling Saturday the GOP thinks JoePa is the dark horse to unseat Barack Obama and unite the conservative base. Joking aside, I am sickened by this game. This game can be put on a few people. One Tim Curley for this awful schedule. He is punshing kids who come here to be the best and play against the best. Beating up on weak opponents does not accompli$h this. Look at our basketball team, if we had played one or two tougher games last year we could have easily won a game down the stretch and be in the NCAA's. Second goes to JoePa. I love and respect this man, but I am so sick of the same ole same ole. For christ sake we have a former QB coach "coaching" our O-Line. This is a joke. He also has failed to make any changes on special teams. Joe needs to call his buddy Frank Beamer and learn that special teams make all the difference. Finally I am sick of Tom Bradley and this stupid cover 3 scheme. Earth to Tom Bradley the good teams know you always run this and know how to beat it. We have enough athletes on this team that we can play man. Give it a shot. I am sure you will all rip me for this post, but I think this season is a failure.
Apology to Josh Hull
Being one of the more vocal critics of Josh Hull in the preseason, I owe him an apology. Josh Hull has been superb in his play this year. While I still would have liked Mauti in the lineup, the way Josh Hull has played, I can't complain. Hull has finally found his knack for being around the football at the line of scrimmage. Also, how can you not enjoy watching the kid play with that mustache?
When is Fortt annoucing?
Anytime know when Fortt will annouce today. This would really kick the week off right. I see it is down to us and Georgia and with Redd chirping in his year, I think we are the team to beat. Well since I have to get 75 words, how about the play of Quarless, the more they get him involved, the better the offense looks. I hate living in SEC country, LSU Georgia was boring and LSU is not #4.
Villians
ESPN is doing each team's top villians in college football. Rittenberg has our current one as Terrelle Pryor and the forever as Richard Nixon for screwing us out of the National Title. I thought it be fun to see what everyone though who our villians are. Being a fan my all time villian is any Ohio State fan who wears those obnoxious nuts as a necklace. I would agree with Rittenberg as the current is Pryor. What are your thoughts?
Comical Story from ACC/SEC Territory
Living down in Clemson/USC territory is no fun, but is often comical as both programs think they are big time. This story in the local paper here proves it:
There is no way CJ Spiller has a shot at the Heisman. None! Even funnier is that ESPN ran a story on how frugal the Clemson football program has become. Yet they waste their money on this? I was glad to find it as it gave me my laugh for the day.
Brunetti Commits to WVU
ESPN is reporting that Barry Brunetti has committed to WVU. He was unable to make his visit to Penn State as he was flying stand-by and the flight out of Charlotte was full. He then drove from Charlotte to WVU. Brunetti stated that he was unable to afford a separate visit to PSU. After hearing all this, the NCAA def needs an early signing period and should allow for early official visits. If we had Brunetti on campus there is no doubt we should have landed him.
Troy Sunderland is out
According to BWI Sunderland is done! I think all our posts about Curley finally lit a fire under his ass. Its time to hire a coach who has won a National Championship and restore our program! Maybe Kerry McCoy or do we get a former Iowa wrestler, it will be intersting. Either way this is a step in the right direction for Curley and about time he fired someone. On a positve note we are 3rd in the Director's cup standings.
Wrestling
Is it just me or has PSU wrestling fallen by the wayside with Troy Sunderland? I know we had a lot of injuries/funguses, but he has only had one stellar year as a head coach, that being last year. He seems to be getting great recruits but is not developing them. There is no way we should finish 7th in the Big Ten. At the worst we should be fourth. Coach Fritz had this team ready to dominate when he coached and was a much nicer person as well.
