Clips Nation Clippa Fans Have No Fear...

I've been following this site for about I think 5 or 6 years now and I'm familiar with a lot of you guys, but I noticed a couple of things about most of you that I don't seem to understand. I know we want to win and all but many of you are unrealistic to a fault. The Clips just showed the world how good they can be without there two most paid "star" players against the back to back world champions who needed a couple of non calls and a lucky layup to win. I don't think any team in the league could have played them better without two of there main guys. That alone is reason enough to be thrilled about the possibilities of this young team.

First off, the NBA has a pecking order (and it doesn't reward racist owners). That basically means that we won't get the benefit of the doubt calls against marquee teams like the Luckers. And that's fine with me because as we continue to grow all of that is going to change. I've watched over 28 years of NBA basketball. I've watched entire careers of players and one thing is still the same...young teams and players don't get any love from the ref's. But eventually that changes and it might be sooner rather than later for us.

Yeah the Luckers didn't have Bynum and Ratliff, but I'm sorry, NO CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM SHOULD STRUGGLE the way they did to beat the U23's and a couple of vet's. Like some of you, I knew we were gonna loose this game even though we were up 12 pts. But I was fine with that because this is a learning process for them. Yeah they shoulda won but the experience they gained is going to convince them to keep working hard and that's what you want from them. The Clark Kent (mild-mannerd basketball player, perfect nick-name for Blake) put back dunk was the worst call I think I've ever seen in a game and one of EJ's turnovers was a non foul call cause if you watch the replay Artest hit all arm. EJ's not gonna get that call right now at a critical moment of the game. They just have to accept it and learn from it.

So Clips fans please cheer up and stop bashing our players. They're learning and for the most part, "playing the right way". All we gotta do is trade Kaman (who too many of you have a man-crush on) cause we don't need a scoring center. All we need is a defensive center like Dalembert who would lock down the paint and rebound and the rest will be history. Barons not going anywhere until his final year and if healthy he can really help us...as long as he attacks the rim. Oh, and I don't know if any of you noticed, but me and a couple of my homies see a little Michael Jordan in Aminu. Yep, it might sound crazy but when we look back at this draft in a couple of years, he will be vastly improved on a scary level. I'm glad I was never down on the kid and I'm happy he's proving folks wrong. He might be our Durantula of the future.

Well till next time my clipper brethren, remember, keep your head outta the dirt and your ass outta the air...and I'm out.

Clips Nation Trade 'em while he's hot...or not

I'll try to be brief.

Rasual should start. I like Gomes, but the bench is calling his name. Sool is already familiar with the starting line up and even though he's not a great rebounder at least he play's solid d. Also I don't see any pick and roll plays on offense. It's kinda sad that we think we can run with Golden State and sag off shooters. We have two threats in the post that every team in the NBA would run simple pick and roll plays with and we just keep on trying to run isolation plays like trying to run through a brick wall. What i just saw tonight was not "playing the right way". Face it were a half-court team that dosent rebound well. That being the case, I honestly think we should trade Kaman and Brian Cook for a wing player and sign Dampeir if no one has yet. I really like Chris as much as the next man but this is painfully obvious that he is too unreliable and when he plays bad he throws our whole offense out of wack. With the roster we have all we need our center to do is play d, rebound, pass out of the  double team, and make free throws all things that Damp can do. I blame this loss on Kaman's inability to stabilize the offense with his presence on the inside or the wing. We should trade him now or we can get used to teams defending us just like this for the rest of the year.

Can't win if your center is mentally out of the game.

Let him get it together somewhere else, far, far away from here.

Clips Nation FIBA Officiating Is Wack!!!

I'm the first one to complain about the NBA's officiating but the  FIBA's officiating is terrible...

I'd take NBA ref's any day of the week. Huh, I'd even take Donaghy back. At some point in the telecast (when Odom was called for a travel in the 4th quarter) Fran Chinchilla suggested that these ref's aren't used to the NBA player's quickness...??? I mean, how could you possibly tell if a guy moved his pivot or not before he dribbled if our players are much quicker?

Durant in the 4th made a typical ball fake at the three point line, his man bit, and all in one motion he moved forward and put the ball on the floor before his pivot foot touched the floor. Routine NBA move but a travel in the FIBA.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't we raise the bar of the level of basketball play in 1992. Haven't they patterned their game after ours?

Bottom line...

The FIBA is a sissy league that caters to un-athletic players. That's why they zone so much, just to keep it competitive. The atmosphere is wack, (insert horn here) the fans and the players are crazy (see Sofo getting sucker-punched on youtube)...I don't know...I'm starting to really appreciate our ref's and understand how difficult their job's are.

Oh, and if we go on to lose the World Championships, from what I've seen, I think the ref's will be a huge factor. Lastly, if the WC were played by our rules the other countries wouldn't be able to compete. Watching this help's me appreciate the NBA ref's more and more each day.

...and EG is a lock by the way.

Clips Nation Message To All STH

Now I know how much we enjoy NBA basketball in person...but at some point we have to realize that as long as we continue to support DTS by purchasing season tickets---(AAAAAAHHHHHHHH...) the longer he's going to hold out on fulfilling their promises to us fans. Does anyone remember the "unlimited resources" speech? We just f----n' watched every available free-agent small forward go to other teams. We didn't even try, (or publicize that we did) we just settled for Gomes and Foye, (both of whom I like though) hired The Villan In Black who is owed $2 million dollars  from Chicago, (which makes him the cheapest option...vintage DTS) and signed brian cook... wait a minute...BRIAN COOK!!!!!!  All at bargain prices-which is good but hardly anything close to the "unlimited resources" that we're promised to the fans.

It's like we're Clipper addicts and DTS is the dopeman who knows he's got you hooked for life...str8 junkies. Thats why I stay home to watch the Clips and catch the occasional game. On my couch, with my "unlimited beers" and my sexy black wife.  I'm just saying, if Sterling refuses to put a winning team on the floor, we should refuse to give him our hard earned money (at least in some cases). I'd hate to see BGriff do to us what LeBron did to the Cavs all because management can't perform like other teams because of Tokowitz.

After all that, this is what I propose to the fans/STH:

Barring we don't make a major trade before the start of the season, and if this is in fact another typical Clipper season, then next year we should really consider spending that money elsewhere (a.k.a. boycott).  Even if your ass is spittin' out dollars like a ATM you still should really consider this. But you know what they say: crack-heads are attracted to bright lights... and Staples has some of the brightest.

Go see 'em on a smaller game package or a single game basis I don't know, but stop givin' this dude your money on a regular basis and maybe when his NBA money takes a  hit he'll be forced to put a winner on the floor. As long as he's a racist greedy bum, and as long as the NBA has black men playing, which looks like forever into the foreseeable future---He's never gonna pay top-dollar for anybody or make the improvements necessary for us to win. Like, why haven't we gotten a better physical trainer yet? Not a knock on Jason Powell but I know there are lost of guys better with more experience than him. When the Clips start winning I'll be right there with you but until then...I got a big ass tv at home.

-Now who's commin' with me?

Clips Nation We need to seriously consider moving Kaman while he's worth something

I respect Chris and his skill set. But all you Kaman supporters need to be honest with yourselves. Now I'm not blaming him for tonight's game, but I can't help but notice his lack of enthusiasm as if his job is done because we're not in the playoff race. I've been a fan of basketball for too long to blindlessly follow and support a malcontent. Like I said before, I really do respect his abilities, but I can't continue to support his lack of focus and effort. I see why you all still support him, but a team like the Clippers neeeds focused players like Gooden. Not because this is his contract year but he really loves the game and was willing to put in the work to get better (Not saying that Chris hasn't). Maybe if Kaman bulked up during the off season he could finish under the basket more often...or if he learned how to pass out of the double team etc...and maybe if he had the presence of mind to use the glass he would be a more effective scorer. Not a f--- Kaman post, but we deserve better than this. Good NBA teams mostly are built around centers and point guards. How can you expect the best from your point if he doesn't feel fully comfortable playing with his center? I'd gladly take somebody like Bosh for a replacement. No bashing, just my honest opinion.

Clips Nation Wondering why we never send our younger players to the D-League?

I've noticed that almost every other team has sent a young prospect that they are developing to the D-league except for us. Is it too expensive or something? I know our history on spending but that's just looks like we're cheap and we don't care...Well... What would it hurt to send DJ down for a couple of games. It might help him.

As long as management continues to cut corners, it's gonna be hard to be taken seriously.
