Niners Nation 49ers raising ticket prices by 18%

Wow i have a really problem with that , first of all you don't have a decent GM . To run this football team , Jed York before you raise ticket prices. At the very least get a QB that can lead this football team , it's still to early to know if Troy Smith is that guy . Excuse me if i sound a little confused , so let me get this right . The 49ers want a new stadium and your willing to raise ticket prices before that can even happen , and again after the stadium is built . And you want all of this , without a starting QB and winning product on the football field . I really need to know , what do the 49er fans get in return?

Niners Nation Nate Clement's did the right thing, Take it to the house

I know most of you may think that Nate Clement's, should share most of the Blame on the 49ers lost to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. And i toldly disagree, i thought  that Nate had a pretty good game. And gave the 49ers a chance to win the game in the end. Even the great Ron Lott said, you don't just make the INT, you want to take it back to the house. Now if  you have like 25 seconds left in the game that's when you go down. Not many 49ers DB have that ability, except Clement's and Adams. That does have return ability, and with that much time left in the game . let me ask you this, how many 49ers where standing around, after the INT. I seen part of the film, and i seen 49ers players standing looking at the play,And you have to give up it to Roddy White, for making a outstanding play, and after that, how many 49ers was in the picture after the fumble. Willis and Brooks, My point is where was the rest of the DL, at the very least, it should've been at least 2 more 49ers bodies in this picture. So let me ask you. would you rather give the ball back over to Alex Smith?  Me personally would have rather had went for the  TD . Then taking my chance with Alex Smith

Niners Nation Have Mike Singletary lost some of the players on this 49er's team?

I believe so,  one Thing about his old school style of coaching. Mike needed early success and often with this team, and  i don't think Mike has had enough! i'm not so sure that style of coaching works in today's NFL. it really is out dated, along with Jimmy Raye offensive play calling. Even though Jimmy Raye has been coaching in this league for 34yrs, jimmy still continues to run the same plays that don't work. And please understand me , i don't claim to know more about coaching then Mike or Jimmy . However when a team that was so unprepared to play, like the 49er"s was on Sunday. You have to wonder if , Mike Singletary or Alex Smith have what it takes to lead this football team!

Even if they manage to beat the Saints on Monday Night . I would like to see more from this football team, 49ers play pretty well at home on Monday nights. So i'm looking forward to see the 49ers  coming out, and playing hard with a lot of energy. And show the fans why they're consider to win the NFC west!

Niners Nation Should the 49ers go after Mike Holmgren and Jon Guren?

should the 49ers Trade their 2011#1 pick to the Browns for Mike Holmgren as your team president and hire Jon Guren to coach your beloved 49ers. And replace coach Mike Singletary and Jimmy  Raye, i can't believe what i saw on sunday, the 49ers just came out of preseason. And they played awful, without any fire or passion. Excuse me for a team that just lost to Seattle last year in their house. Which the 49ers didn't play very well, You would think that the 49ers would have something to prove! Did the 49ers take a step back from a year ago?

Niners Nation Would you rather had Matt Leinart over Troy Smith?

The question is if Matt Leinart , had came out in 2005, would the 49ers had choosen Matt Lienart over Alex Smith for our no#1 pick. my question is if the 49ers lose their first play off game , is that enough to keep Alex Smith as your starting QB into 2011 , are do we get another QB, and where do we get this QB, through the draft, knowing that the Bills, Browns and Cardinals will be picking before us, whom very well pick a QB,  I think that i would rather had Matt Leinart in 2011 camp. then Troy Smith are some unproven rookie, Now the 49ers still have a chance to get Matt Leinart after the end of the season, it would have been nice to have picked up Matt Lienart , to replace Nate Davis

Niners Nation Should 22 players be added to the already 53 man roster, for a 18 game season?

what is your thoughts about , a 18 game season, and adding one player to every position, and please don't misunderstand me, each team would be able to add these 22 players in any position ,and each team will have 75 players on their roster, you do know if they go to a 18 game season , 20 games season won't be far behind, fans can't get enough football, before it's all said and done. I can see the football season starting around mid July, just for the extra games being played, my thoughts are , first the business side, the money , and the other would have to be the fans.

Niners Nation How do you feel ,about the new 49er team rough and tough

I see that this new 49er team is shaping up into , this rough and tough smash mouth football team, and i want to know what are your thoughts about this new 49er team. My thoughts are if they could get just as tough mentally, as far as cutting back on those unnecessary  penalty, 49ers is still a fairly young team , and they need to mature together as a team, to become a great team.

That don't beat themselves, a team that could beat you at home are on the road, I guess the question is ,do you like the direction that this team is going? and or they good enough to win a super bowl ,and if this 49er team isn't , and if you was the 49ers? what other moves would you make ? To get your 49ers back to the super bowl

Niners Nation Who will be 49ers QB for the 2011 season?

Who will lead the 49ers into the 2011NFL football season? Even if by chance that the 49ers make it into the playoff , with Alex Smith the 49ers will lose to Green Bay in Green Bay in the first round, I'm sorry , I just feel that we have been here before, and i can't help but think that we will get the same results. I like Alex as a person, i just don't think he has what it takes to be a good NFL QB.

So if Alex doesn't do very well in the up coming 2010 NFL season , who is your QB that can lead this football team into the 2011 season, you have to remember that the 49ers are working with a very small window to win now, and without that franchised QB, the 49ers won't stay on top very long, Alex Smith is ranked below 16th as a NFL QB, and i do understand that some NFL teams have been very successful with a bad QB, i'm just being realistic. And for the Alex Smith supporters , if you could choose all over again, would you still take Alex Smith over Aaron Rogers?

Niners Nation How would you like Charlie Casserly as the 49ers new GM?

I really like Charlie Casserly , the way that Charlie breaks down the game, and also the way that Charlie evaluate players, Charlie is smart and intelligent with a high football IQ,  ,and Charlie makes it easy for the people that don't. And the 49ers could really use a man like Charlie, when it comes to the draft, me personally thought the 49ers did well!

However i believe we should have stayed with the 13th pick, and if Anthony Davis had been pick before 13 , just pick safety Earl Thomas, and the 49ers keep their 4th round pick. I just feel that was a little premature to trade your 13th and give up your 4th round pick , to just to move up to the 11th pick , Anthony Davis might had fell to us at 13 anyway

Niners Nation Could Ted Ginn be the next John Taylor Jr. ? Who is #1?

I don't know if you young 49er fans , know anything about John Taylor, John Taylor was the NO#2 WR PR/KR specialist and one of the best underrated 49er's of all time, And at that time Jerry Rice was the 49er's no#1 WR . And some people would argue about John Taylor being just as good as Jerry Rice, John didn't have the big numbers that Jerry had. However he contribute A great deal to the 49ers organization, John Taylor knew what it meant to be A professional, you can tell, just by the way that John carried himself, on the field and off , John was A quite guy who never complaint, John knew just one thing, that he was their to play football, and not argue with the coaches or the Ref , Can Ted Ginn Jr be the next John Taylor , and will the 49ers use Ted like the 49er's use John.if you have any memorable stories about John Taylor i would like to hear them please. the one i remember was on Monday night playing against the St Louis Rams and John Taylor had to big touchdowns , i remember one coming from a pass from Joe Montana on about our 20 yard line , and John ran it back 80 yards for A touchdown, yeah it kinda of reminded me of that pass from Matt Ryan to Rodney White had against us last year for A touchdown.

Do the 49ers still need A NO#1 WR?

With the addition of Ted Ginn JR. I see the 49ers with two NO#2 WR with Michael Crabtree  and Ted Ginn Jr. and I realize that maybe Michael Crabtree can be that guy, I don't know if Michael has enough speed to be A NO#1 WR in the NFL ,only time will tell, now I know how 49er fans feel about players going from one position to another, however with Vernon Davis size and speed, and Vernon is already Alex Smith go to guy , you would think that maybe he could fill that role as the 49ers no#1 WR, Even though Vernon does have to work on running better routes and learn how to come back to the ball, But isn't that the same for being a All Pro T.

Niners Nation Trade Alex Smith Brandon Jones for Ben Roethliisberger ?

How about trade Alex Smith and Brandon Jones, And maybe the 49ers 2010 4th round pick , For Ben Roethlisberger , I would like your thoughts. On such A trade , and would you make this trade , Do you think that Ben is to much of A risk , A few things about Ben , that stand out , about the troubled QB, is he is A proven QB in the NFL, And he is only 27yrs old Are do you think that Ben is worth more then that, Are not even worth the trouble. Thank You!

Niners Nation who would you rather have Derek Anderson or David Carr? (Now with a Nifty Poll)

The Cleveland Browns just released QB Derek Anderson, Who would you rather have as your back up QB Derek Anderson or David Carr. Can you really honestly say that any signing is A slam dunk , isn't the gamble just as high , As drafting A college athlete into the NFL. Some players play worst on A different team, and all fairness to the 49ers the quality of A NFL QB is limited. Whether it's A back up QB or starting QB. The talent for the NFL isn't there

[EDIT] howtheyscored's note: I added the poll because it's an interesting question. You'll see I added a few relevant options. Just because I left this thread standing, though, let's not go crazy with the Carr threads. We do have an official FanPost for general discussion on David Carr.

Poll

David Carr?

Derek Anderson?

Niners Nation Should the 49ers pick Colt McCoy with their 3rd pick if he's available?

Since the NFL is a QB driven league , Should the 49ers think about drafting another QB? And if you do,Do you think that Colt McCoy is that QB, And if not Colt McCoy, What QB other then  Nate Davis? That you would like to see the 49ers draft are trade for , Are maybe pick up a veteran free agent? I don't believe that Alex Smith is the answer, And i would rather have Nate Davis and another young QB coming up in the next 2yrs, As the 49ers next starting QB

Niners Nation Should the 49ers move Manny Lawson to ILB?

Would Manny Lawson be a better ILB ? i personally believe that Manny Lawson has A lot of range, not only sideline to sideline, also more success coming up the middle, applying more presser on the QB, could add up to more blocked balls and tackles behind the line of scrimmage, it may be easier for Manny to go around or through A guard and A center , instead of trying to get around a tackle, he has gotten better.

Niners Nation Should the 49ers sign Jason Campbell

well" it's know secret that the Washington Redskins aren't very happy with their QB Jason Campbell and he might be release after the 2010 NFL Draft , So the question is if Jason Campbell is release, Should the 49ers sign him, is Campbell a upgrade from Alex Smith or is he the same type of QB, I do recall in the 2008 season Jason Campbell went 15 quarters without a int, So would Jason had been a better QB with A owner that believed in him!

Niners Nation bay area kid comes home

how about trading for Tom Brady, trade your number 1 pick for 2011 and A 3rd pick in 2012 , along with Alex Smith & Jason Hill, The QB positions affect the whole team, we need a winner and we need  a winner now! also pick up 2010  free agents OT Marcus Mcneill  from San Diego who is only 26 by the way and FS  Atogwe Oshiomogho from St Louis, that allows us to pick  RB C.J. Spiller who you can use as  A  slot receiver return guy and replace Frank Gore if he gets injury and then maybe pick DE Derrick Morgan are maybe another player that can play more then 1 position thank you!
