Ducks Acquire Goaltender Ellis from Tampa Bay for McElhinney
Mixed bag. I like Ellis and mcbackup has been shaky at best the past week and a half+, but I still liked the guy. On the plus side Ellis has a .942% in his last 4 games, and is 5-2-2 in his last 11.

Puppy thrown at German biker gang
And I quote:
"A German student "mooned" a group of Hell's Angels and hurled a puppy at them before escaping on a stolen bulldozer, police have said. "
Best sentence ever.
Selanne's back, Kariya is possible
In Finnish this time
So Cal Wildfires
The neighborhood across the street from where I grew up (and where my family still lives) has been evacuated. I'm gonna try and drive through the fire to reach them tomorrow, pending work approval of course. My boss is a dick and probably wont count "Hometown burning down, helping family evacuate" as a legitimate excuse.
Staring at Boobs
Is good for your health.
"A rather bizarre study carried out by German researchers suggests that staring at women's breasts is good for men's health and increases their life expectancy. According to Dr. Karen Weatherby, a gerontologist and author of the study, gawking at women’s breasts is a healthy practice, almost at par with an intense exercise regime, that prolongs the lifespan of a man by five years. She added, "Just 10 minutes of staring at the charms of a well-endowed female, is roughly equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out."
Ladies, help a guy out?
LONGER LIFE SPAN COMMENCING
How I'd rework the Divisions
For no reason.
Campbell Conference
Pacific
Drop Dallas, nobody wants them around, Add Vancouver to give the Sharks an actual rival. Plus, no more 4 or 5 p.m. start times in Dallas, Huzzah. Four of these teams had 100+ points last year, and the other got lost at a Dunkin' Doughnuts.
1. Anaheim
2. Los Angeles
3. Phoenix
4. San Jose
5. Vancouver
Central Western
Puts everyone in the same-ish time zone, which has been the Stars' biggest complaint for a while. I know this essentially hands the Hawks the division for the next couple of years, but once Toews and Kane are off elc's that it's a toss up.
1. Chicago
2. Columbus
3. Dallas
4. Nashville
5. St. Louis
Mountain
Atlanta is the farthest west of all the teams I considered moving, all these teams travel a lot anyway, so it's not a big deal. With the level these teams are at I see it working out.
1. Atlanta
2. Calgary
3. Colorado
4. Edmonton
5. Minnesota
Wales Conference
Northeast
Detroit, Toronto, and Buffalo are all fairly close together, this works well. Boston and Montreal have a traditional rivalry, as do Toronto and Montreal. Three of these teams are the top three historical cup winners, so that gives NBC a reason to stop showing Penguins games.
1. Buffalo
2. Boston
3. Detroit
4. Montreal
5. Toronto
Central Eastern
Keep the two NY and Pennsylvania teams together. Make Ottawa play the Pens 6x a year, those games are entertaining.
1. New York
2. New York
3. Ottawa
4. Philadelphia
5. Pittsburgh
Atlantic
Offensively heavy Washington vs. Defensively minded New Jersey six times a season? Yes please. Carolina has a fierce (though spastic) rivalry with the Caps, the two Florida teams can suck each other off, whatever.
1. Carolina
2. Florida
3. New Jersey
4. Tampa Bay
5. Washington
The Anaheim Ducks
Part 5 of 5. The last one. My favorite team, the Ducks. This one is about to get personal. Also, just fucking sign Ryan already. Fuck.

The Los Angeles Kings.
Part 3 of 5 on why I love and hate each team in the Pacific. Coincidentally, I'm in the L.A. area (Palmdale, so not really) for the weekend and passed by Staples Center a few times and I didn't have draft tickets so I just decided to do this instead.
World Cup Goal reaction
The Phoenix Coyotes
Part two of five in my reverse alphabetical series on why I love and hate each team in the pacific.
Why I love/hate the Pacific.
I was thinking last night (read: drank heavily and decided) that I should tell everyone why I love/hate each team in the Pacific. I for some reason though this would be best done in reverse alphabetical order.
