My daughter's first ever Cub game

Taking her to her first game was unbelievable and I had to smile as she expressed surprise at how many ppl there were, how loud it was, how much beer was being drank (yeah!) and the various things she experienced at her first ball game. It brought back a lot of memories for me and it was cool watching her experience these things.

Nothing planned me for the ninth inning however. In all the years of going to the games I've never heard it get as loud as it did when Soto tied it up in the ninth with that homer!!! I've never been hugged by so many ppl I never and will never know, never saw so many ppl stand on the seats jumping up and down and seeing ppl dancing in the aisles with joy.

It was, for me, up to that point, the greatest moment I've ever had at Wrigley, or for that matter any field. What was even greater however was seeing my daughter cheering for the Cubs. She never has followed baseball all that much, but seeing her get into the game and screaming her head off with me as the Cubs came from behind is something I will never forget. It is the moment I know my daughter became a Cubs fan.

She cheered when they won in the 12th.... Me, I cried. I've been waiting all my life for this team and when they won I was overcome by it all. I cheered and screamed and held my little girl and cried for joy.

But, I don't think it was the win that did it, but seeing the look in her eyes as they won was what brought tears to my eyes. All the years of disappointment, all the years of "wait till next year" and all the years of wondering IF they ever will win it all became moot at that moment. My little girl became a Cubs fan and at that moment what being a Cubs fan is all about became very clear to me.

When the Cubs win it all this year it will be my second greatest moment in watching the Cubs for all these years. The first will be the moment I saw my little girl become a Cubs fan during the magical season I've waited all my life for..... The season the Cubs win it all and my little girl became a Cubs fan like her old man.

Does anyone here use it? How well does it work? Is it steady and clear or does it have to be rebooted quite a bit? Is it worth the money or is there a better alternative?

I've always wanted to hear some National games and as you can well imagine picking them up on the radio here is impossible.

Thank you so much for your input and help, please know I deeply appreciate it. :)

Its hard to get the Cardinal games here on the radio in Michigan much of the time and I am wondering how well MLB GameDay Audio works. Is it clear and steady or do you have to keep rebooting it? Is it worth buying?

I don't need video since I usually am working on my computer or working with my collies while I listen. Or perhaps there is a better alternative then GameDay Audio? Thank you for any input or help you can share with me. :)

Hi!

Thank you for any recommendations you may have and please know I deeply appreciate you taking the time to help me. :)

I would like to learn more about the history of the Cardinals and figured who better to ask than the fans from St. Louis. What are the best histories of the team? Also, any good histories of the old Browns?

Thank you for any suggestions you have and please know I deeply appreciate you taking your time to help me. :)

I need to make 75 words and the only other thing I can think of to write is that when my father was growing up one of his favorite ballplayers was Dizzy Dean. Your having a impressive season this year and I wish the Cardinals all the best in the pennant race. Hope they beat the Brewers tonight. :)
