Pounding The Rock Tim Duncan wins 3-point contest

I was traveling through SA and decided to drop in my beloved franchise, and sat in seats I can only dream of affording someday. The public scrimmage was much more than I anticipated, with all the details of a real game, but retaining the fun atmosphere of practice. There's already a recap of it, so basically: Tim is skinny and leaner, DeJuan has sick  post moves and played like he belongs in the all-mighty NBA paint. Which was crazy when I saw him standing next to Richard Jefferson and noticed they are the same height . Should be interesting, very Luis Scola-ish. And I've seen junkyard rottweilers less hungry than Manu in the game. His dunk was downright inspirational to anyone that has been down and out.

But anyways, the 3-point contest. It was all in good fun, although Keith and Marcus were visibly nervous. I don't think Findog was very focused, but he still should have done better than what he did.

Final Score:

Keith Bogans - 3

Micheal Finley - 4

Marcus Williams - 2

Tim Duncan - see for yourself

Pounding The Rock When Manu himself is relieved...

So there I am, about to typing on why Tom Ziller from NBA fanhouse is an ignoramus on the comments section and defending why Bruce was so much more than those specific bad highlights, and how even Kobe Bryant had great respect for his style of play, how he will be missed among the leagues players rather then have a "good riddance" attitude about his retirement, etc.

But when Manu himself is relieved that he wouldn't see the Bruce in his face this season, I just held down the backspace key, sighed, and had a good laugh.

Here's to one of the "legacy" Spurs, up there with David, Sean, and Avery. We'll miss you, and so will the league and its players.

But not too much (insert Manu smiley here).
