The Slipper Still Fits Gonzaga-Duke MSG

Is anyone going to the Gonzaga-Duke game at Madison Square Garden on December 19th?  I live in Connecticut so it's not very often I get to go and watch a Gonzaga game.  I haven't bought tickets yet but I am definitely going.  If anyone knows of a way to get tickets or if anyone has tickets they aren't going to use I'd appreciate any info you could give me.  If not then I will just buy them from online.  Also if anyone is going to this game maybe we could meet up before the game and grab a bite to eat or something.  I've been trying to talk my friends into going but most of them are Uconn fans and they all bought tickets for tomorrows Uconn-Duke game at MSG so it looks like I might be by myself come December 19th.  Zags fans are few and far between over here so I'm always looking for a little company!  Just leave a post here or send me an email at cjespersen13@gmail.com

The Slipper Still Fits Which 2009 recruit will have biggest impact?

I think this seems like a fair question and would like to hear what everyone thinks.

The Slipper Still Fits Victor Rudd?

I was just going through some more recruiting stuff and I noticed that on Scout.com and Rivals.com it says that Victor Rudd has an offer from Gonzaga.  I was under the impression that we had no more spots with Sam, Manny, Bol, Elias, and Kelly all committed.  Just wondering if you guys could maybe fill me in and let me know what's going on.

heres a link if anyone was interested...

The Slipper Still Fits Portland dismantles St. Marys

In their first full game without Patty Mills, St. Marys(18-3, 5-2) traveled to the Earle A. Chiles Center to take on the Pilots of Portland(15-7, 6-1).  The result was not exactly what Gaels fans were looking for after a tough loss to Gonzaga on Thursday night.  The Gaels jumped out to an early 24-14 point lead in the first half but with 7 minutes to go Portland made their run and never looked back.  Portland used a 22-5 run to take a 36-29 lead and the momentum into halftime.  Nik Raivio who had a game high 27 points began the second half with two quick layups to put Portland up by 11.  Portland never let St. Marys within 10 the rest of the game and used solid shooting along with stout defense to coast to a 84-66 victory.  Jared Stohl provided a spark off the bench for the Pilots with 18 points all of which were 3 pointers and T.J. Campbell chipped in 13 points to go along with a game high 7 assists.  Diamon Simpson and Omar Samhan were the two lone brightspots for St. Marys.  Simpson put up yet another double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds while Samhan added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the losing effort.  Despite shooting a dismal 64% from the Free Throw line, Portland was able to light it up from the rest of the floor.  The Pilots shot 59% overall from the floor and 61% from 3 point.  St. Marys on the other hand clearly missed their leading scorer as they shot just 40% from the field and only 29% from 3 point.  Portland now 2nd in the West Coast Conference will host 1st place Gonzaga on Thursday Night in what is sure to be another great matchup.  St. Marys returns home on Thursday to host San Francisco.  The Gaels who had a school record 15 game winning streak snapped at Gonzaga this past Thursday now have lost 2 straight and could possibly be watching their season slip away.

The Slipper Still Fits Haha I love this site

Words can't describe how happy I am that I found this website.  With majority of you guys being students, you really bring the atmosphere with you.  I'm about as far away as I can possibly be in Connecticut but you guys are awesome.  This whole week the only clothing I will be wearing is Gonzaga attire.   Sadly I will be alone here on Thursday night at 11:00 eastern in front of my 63" HDTV watching you guys go crazy but it's all good.  Just make sure you guys cheer a little more, yell a little louder, and go a little more crazy for me because god knows what I would give to be there with you.

Also if there is anything I can ever do to help you guys out don't be afraid to ask.  Being a senior in high school all the way across the country my resources are a little limited but I'd love to help out anyway I can.  The one question I just wanna ask is if you guys have any new information on Bol Kong.  Haven't heard anything for quite some time and I'm hoping the old saying of no news is good news applies to this situation.

Thanks again guys

God Bless and GO ZAGS!!!

The Slipper Still Fits Lend A Helping Hand

To anyone who wants to give a young man the chance to live his dream sign this petition. Bol Kong is a native of Sudan who escaped from the war torn country with his family at the age of 7. He has been living in Canada ever since and has become a phenomenal basketball player. He is now 20 years old and has accepted a scholarship from the University of Gonzaga. Kong has been denied his student visa 3 times and is giving it one more go. Gonzaga University has sent a letter to the U.S. government requesting that he be granted his visa. I was doing some research and came across this website which is a petition for Bol Kong to receive his Visa. Do not deny this young man his dream to come play basketball in the U.S. and receive a college degree. He deserves the opportunity after all that he has had to endure throughout his life.

Thank You,
Coltin Jespersen
