I don’t think that we’re rebuilding. We’re reloading. We’re going to work our asses off. If you want to think we’re rebuilding, whatever, think it. We’ll fight your ass. Let’s go.

Retired LB, David Thornton, Has A New Role With the Colts

2

The Colts have hired David Thornton again. This time not as a player but as the franchise's player development coordinator.

Irsay Has Seen Manning Throw; Is Pleased

15

Why has this tweet not been picked up by the National Media? Or even someone like Kravits? Well, if the Media put it out it makes them look even more like they are chasing their tails. As for Kravitz, he's been trying to run Manning out of town ever since he started his employment with The Star. But Irsay and Manning are discussing moving the date back and Irsay has seen Manning throw and is pleased by what he's seen. Tom Condon has confirmed that moving the date back is possible. Yes, Irsay has seen Manning actually throw. You can find that tweet HERE

Peyton Manning Working Out At Duke

4

The Manning family is close friends with Duke head coach David Cutcliffe. Cutcliffe was Manning's OC at Tennessee. The question is WHY Manning is working out at Duke and not the Colts complex? Manning said in his interview with Kravitz that the facility wasn't the best environment to try to rehab at right now. Manning and Irsay were supposedly scheduled to meet tonight at Irsay's house to talk about the future. Grigson not included. Irsay's plane went to Raleigh-Durham on Friday where Duke is located. Gotta wonder what is going on. Eli also spent time during the lock out at Duke working with Cutcliffe.

Manning Threw the NFL Concusion Test

+

Manning admitted to intention blowing the test the first time so, in the event of a head injury, he would still be able to play. 'Then, after a concussion, you take the same test and if you do worse than you did on the first test, you can't play. So I just try to do badly on the first test,' Manning said.

Colts offer two more tenders

2

The Colts have offered tenders to OL Charlie Johnson and SS Melvin Bullitt. Two guys who the Colts really need to keep.

Colts give Addai First Round Tender

+

The Colts have placed a first round tender on Addai according the the Indy Star. This will require a team to give up a first round pick in the draft to sign Addai.

Colts Tender a few Restricted Free Agents

3

The Colts tendered restricted free-agent LB Clint Session, DT Eric Foster and DT Daniel Muir. In order to get Session, a team would have to give up a second round pick in the draft. Neither Muir or Foster require picks because both were undrafted.

Polian gets a new job title

+

The Colts have changed Polians title from "President," to "Vice Chairman." Irsay says it's no big deal, Polians duties haven't changed. Its just a way to start phasing in Chris Polian a little more.

Gene Huey offered a job with Peterson and the Vikings.

+

Gene didn't have to wait long for a new job offer. Leslie Frazier, former Colts coach, has offered Huey a job with the Vikings. Good for Gene. Huey is hesitant to take the job because he's not sure if he wants to uproot his family after being in Indiana for so long. Hopefully things work out for him. He's a good man.

Peyton Manning Just thought I'd share this gem since so many people on this site think Manning should/is leave(ing).

Lions sign Tony Ugoh

10

Looks like the Lions picked up the Colts former LT. The Colts traded up to get Tony Ugoh as the 42nd overall pick back in 07 hoping to make him the starting LT. Obviously that didn't happen and after giving Ugoh chance after chance to prove himself, the Colts put him on the Injury-Waived list this season ultimately ending his stay in Indianapolis.

Collie out for Sunday nights matchup with Bolts

3

Austin Collie has been ruled out for Sunday nights game as precautionary measurements. Along side him is Bob Sanders Side note, if Sanders is on schedule he should be back for next weeks bout against the horrid Cowboys. Also, the Colts have placed defensive back Chip Vaughn (ankle) on injured reserve, and defensive back Al Afalava has been signed as a free agent."

Colts sign RB Joique Bell

4

Guess the Colts were looking for a RB after all. Bell is an Undrafted Rookie signed and released by the Bills Practice Squad then signed to the Eagles Practice Squad where the Colts picked him up from. Tip to LovinBlue

Looks like the Colts were goin after an old friend

2

The Colts must be looking to sign a RB. The Denver Broncos promoted Lance Ball to the active roster to keep him away from the Colts after the Colts 'showed some interest' in him. According to Lance, he was 'headed to Indy' before he was promoted.

Andre Brown cut...again

3

The Colts cut RB Andre Brown again, so expect him to end up back on the Practice Squad. But with him gone it means a couple things. 1) Addai could be getting better. and 2.) it opens up a spot on the roster. Could mean a return for Taj Smith or maybe even Sam Giguere? Sam can return kicks. We saw him in Buffalo last season, in a blizzard, consistently getting the ball to the 30. With Gonzo down, either of the two would make sense.

Packers could be cutting ties with Al Harris

9

Al Harris has been on PUP to start this season. But has come off and now the Pack have decisions to make. They have either make room for Harris on the Active Roster, or cut him. But with Charles Woodson, Tramon Williams, and Sam Sheilds, the Packers don't really need Harris. And he likely wouldn't get a lot of playing time, so the Packers will most likely cut him. Harris will go to the Waiver Wire. The Colts need DB's in a bad way. The Colts almost have to put a claim in for this guy and hope he makes it down the list.

Marvin Harrison in attendance at the Colts/Eagles game

3

Marvin Harrison is at his first live Colts game since being released from the team following the 2008 season. He was spotted outside the Colts locker room having a long conversation with Clyde Christensen and talking with Jeff Saturday.

Collie will play against Eagles

2

With questions looming about how long Colts WR Austin Collie would miss due to hand surgery, we finally have some answers. According to Adam Schefter Collie will play Sunday in the Colts match up with the Eagles. This of course is great news after finding out the Colts were ending Gonzo's season by placing him on IR. Collie has been huge for the Colts this year. It will be interesting to see how Collie plays just a few weeks after having surgery on his thumb.

Colts Fans Can Breath Just A Little Easier

+

Indy Star is reporting that source with knowledge of the situation says that Session will avoid both surgery and IR. Session broke his forearm on Monday night in the game against the Texans, which unless you've been hibernating for the past week, you know. Session is gonna need to stay rested up. Don't expect to see him on Sunday against the Eagles. :(

Session could end up on IR

2

Anyone who watched the Colts and Texans game Monday night saw Clint Session have a much needed break out game. Then we find out that not only did Session tear it up, he played through a dislocated elbow AND a broken forearm. Session is a beast. Period. Now, though, there are a few people saying that Clint Session's broken arm could land him on Injury Reserve. I really, really hope this is not the case. This LB's corps is gonna need the play of Session in games to come.

Gonzo tweaked the ankle sprain

+

Indianapolis Colts receiver Anthony Gonzalez, who is being counted on to help replace Austin Collie, who recently underwent thumb surgery and will likely miss a few weeks, recently tweaked the high ankle sprain that he had been nursing since early in the season, according to a source familiar with the situation. It does not appear to be a major injury at this time, but it is notable considering what the Colts receivers have gone through in recent days. Besides the injury to Collie, the Colts also lost Dallas Clark for the season when the tight end was placed on injured reserve with a wrist injury. Gonzalez might not be ready to play as soon as Indianapolis would like and it could be the latest setback for a wide receiver that has had plenty of them the past two seasons. The Colts have a bye this week and return to host the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football in Week 8.
