Pride Of Detroit Defensive Line wins the game!

I really enjoyed watching the game on Sunday and was on edge on that last drive that Green Bay had.  One thing we all noticed was how good Lawrence Jackson (LoJack) and Turk McBride played in this game.  Now the thing I'm wondering, is do we have all these really great DE's like Avril (he's good), KVB (he's great!) and others that constantly step up or does this mean something else.

What I really think is that our interior line... Suh, Williams and Hill are so good that at this point any decent DE will look like a stud.  I think that the pressure on the interior of the line is so great that its inevitable that one of our DE's will get through to the QB.

Either that or we've been blessed with more great DE's than any other team in the NFL.

Pride Of Detroit Trent Edwards is available.

The Bills just cut Edwards and he's now available on waivers.  Should we pick him up?  I mean seriously, he's not that far off from Hill in QB abilities.  I could see us picking him up and cutting Stanton.  I don't think that Edwards can lead a team through a season, I do think he can play in a good backup position though.

I like Stanton, but I see Edwards as an upgrade for a really good price and we could probably get him through our waiver status.

Pride Of Detroit Rams need a QB!

I hope this story is true!  I heard that the St. Louis Globe-Democrat reports that Bulger has cleaned out his locker.  That should mean that the Rams are taking a QB!

If they hang on to the 1st pick, I say they pick a QB for sure!  I expect to see some changes in all of the Mock drafts across the web if this is true!

I don't think anyone will trade up for the #1 pick either.  Why should they when the Rams need a QB and we might be willing to trade our #2?

Pride Of Detroit Coolbreeze42 Intro

I apologise for not introducing myself earlier.  My name is Rob and I'm a life long Michigan sports fan.  This includes being a diehard Lions fan.

I'm retired military with 2 girls and 1 son (two of my kids were born while I was in Somalia).  My son is also a diehard Lions fan also and our best football moment was watching Stafford throw the winning touchdown against Cleveland!  What a game!

I really enjoy "Pride Of Detroit" and look forward to all of the posts.

Pride Of Detroit 2nd round picks and trades

Last year the 1st and 2nd round drafts were on the same day.

This year, the 2nd round will start the next day after the 1st round is completed.

I'm hoping that we will get several good offers for our #34 pick!  With one whole day (instead of the usual 5 minutes after the 1st round ends) The teams will have plenty of time to readjust their boards after the 1st round and will be more likely to trade up to grab a good player that slides out of the 1st round.

Any ideas on what teams would be interested in our pick and what we would get for it?
