Minor League Ball CWS MOD #1

Philosophy:

Mine: I prefer "Up-the-middle", athletic, position players and LHP. Of course, the last time I was in charge, I took LaPorta, Stanton, Freeman, Nick Tepesch, and Mike Brown.

CWS:

2011 - Looks arm heavy.

2010 - Arms.

2009 - Up the middle and arms.

Picks:

1.13

1.48

2.16 (76)

3.13 (108)

Bonus Pool: $5,915,100

I appreciate an input or corrections you the community would like to share.

Although it shouldn't influence us too much, I will post a few minor league rankings/depth.

Minor League Ball MOD II White Sox

Please find the first MOD post here: http://www.minorleagueball.com/story/2007/5/17/112840/633

Drafting at #25, it will be a bit difficult to know who is available.  Therefore, how about we just decide which way to go with the pick - HS, college, bat, arm, best available, etc?

I think the Sox have gone heavy with the arms the past few years, so I ways leaning MI or "impact bat" at 25. Also, after voting, let me know who you think would fit the bill at 25 or later, thanks.

Poll
If we draft for need, what is that need?
More arms, you can never have enough

Minor League Ball Is Delmon Young the only prospect out there?

I am curious about what ya'll think about Sean Marshall.  Will he stick with the Cubbies when Prior, Wood, and Miller return?  Will he be successful longterm?

Here are his minor league stats, courtesy of the Baseball Cube:
http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/M/sean-marshall.shtml

The 6'5" ,23 yo lefty has 251 minor league IP with 258 K and 70 BB.

Currently, in 21 IP over 4 games, he has 15 K to 7 BB with starts against StL, PIT(W), LA, and FLA(W).

BP has him as the 5th luckiest SP in the NL, behind Batista, Wandy, Pedro (!), and Madson.

Minor League Ball Glen Perkins

Starter Glen Perkins, who took a no-hitter into the sixth in an Opening Day loss, gave up one run on four hits but left after 57 pitches in two innings (2.0 4 1 1 2 5) and did not return for the third.

Was this an injury or a pitch count removal?

Minor League Ball Adam Wainwright's future?

GS IP    H   BB K   ERA  WHIP
2004 22 Mem AAA 12  63.0 68  28  64 5.37 1.51
2005 23 Mem AAA 29 182.0 204 51 147 4.40 1.40

I only hear mention of Reyes as a possibility for the Cards' final rotation spot (I just can't believe Ponson will work out).  John mentioned that Wainwright has gone from a dominator to an innings eating strike thrower.  I suppose there are worse things to say about a guy.  He is still only 24.  Looking at his 04 numbers, it looks like he missed more than half the season, I don't remember hearing about surgury, so what was the injury?  What is his future with the Cards and in the bigs?
