Unfortunately it's from the 1977 White Sox team.

http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHW/1977.shtml

There are some names I've heard of on the ball:

Kevin Bell, Eric Soderholm,Royle Stillman, Lamar Johnson

But the most curious to me is a Steven A. Stone. According to the link above the Steve Stone who played on that team has a middle initial of "M". What does anyone make of that? And, please forgive my ignorance - but is this Steve Stone our former broadcaster?

p.s. there is no MLB logo on the ball, should there be?

I was really sorry to see the Cubs let this guy go. I'm not as savvy as others are here, but this guy had a lot of heart. I hope he doesn't turn into 'one who got away'. He's hitting .423 with the Mets. Here's a nice story in the NYtimes:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/05/sports/baseball/05mets.html?_r=2&oref=slogin&ref=baseball& amp;pagewanted=print&oref=slogin

Where's the BEST place to sit at a game?

Forgive me if this has already been asked....but this is a question I've always wondered....Where is the BEST place to view a game? To see the most possible aspects of the game. I know it depends on the park and everyone has finacial restrictions, but if money were no object....

Last year I was behind the plate, great spot to see players but not to see the finer points of the game.

I have tickets for seats that look to be right at the infield/outfield line on the 1st base side. Will these be good seats to see most of the action? Are upper decks bad?

What do people think ?
