What an amazing day. SERIOUSLY. It’s just way too hard to describe how perfect it was. So I’ll do my best.

Gaslamp Ball had the opportunity to be Mentor’s guests for Breakfast at the park. What an honor. We had tables reserved for us. Our menu for breakfast was OJ, water, and coffee to drink and Fresh Fruit, Various Breads Platter, and some sort of Breakfast Mixed Hash. Mentor said a few words to us. I was too stoked for words to really remember what was said. Then he whipped out a box of goodies for us and low and behold…it was the Retired Numbers shirts with #51 added in its correct place! SO AMAZING. We finished up breakfast and headed our separate ways to settle into our seats anticipating history happen before our eyes. The ceremony was everything we as padres fans could hope for and more. It was touching, comedic, nostalgic, exciting, and sentimental. Here are some pictures from today’s events.
