For those who think Klay is nothing more than Mike Miller, Korver, etc at this point, you may be right. But look at the similar numbers between Ray and Klay.

CougCenter Paul Wulff and Why We Should Keep Him

All season, through his entire four years, there has never been a shortage on different opinions on Paul Wulff. That certainly was not aided by Moos’s statement from tonight. I could be wrong, but the consensus on twitter and different social media outlets seems that Wulff should be gone. Part of that could be because the Paul Wulff supporters are less noisy right now, it’s hard to defend something for so long, but I think that part needs to be looked at once again. Without further adieu, I present to you, the loyal and well-educated readers of Coug Center, my case for retaining coach Paul Wulff as our head coach.

Royals Review Royals Fan in Washington (State): Some Observations

I've been following this site pretty closely for awhile now, and now I feel like I have some contributions to make.

First off, you're probably confused as to why I'm a Royals fan in Spokane, Washington. Well, it really wasn't my choice. See my parents named me Brett Jackson Ward (yes, after George and Bo) and being a Royals fan was thrust upon me. The funny thing was that the Royals weren't their favorite team, they were both just huge sports fans and loved George and Bo as athletes.

Anyways, I have been watching the games on my friends' MLB network log in, and there are some observations I have.

CougCenter WSU Basketball, A Year After Tony

It was March 31 2009. It was a pretty nice day out, and coincidently it was my birthday. Started the day off pretty good with a little light batting practice. I checked my phone after, and it had something like 12 text messages and 5 missed calls. They were all had a common topic.

Pretty cool if you ask me. I think we have forgotten a little bit how good he was this year, even with his shortcomings.

CougCenter Cougar Football: Rebuilding the excellence

Note: I wrote this for a class during the middle of the season. Some things are not updated, but I hope you enjoy anyways

The year was 2004; Washington State reached the 10-win plateau for the third time in as man seasons with a 28-20 comeback victory over Texas in the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl. This was the greatest stretch of football in Cougar football history. USC was the only other team in Pac 10 history to achieve this feat up to that point which was way back in the 40’s. Everyone associated with Washington State University was infatuated with the hire of coach Bill Doba. Former Cougar head coach and current Cougar football radio color commentator Jim Walden alluded to this by stating that hiring Bill Doba was a stroke of genius. Just 3 years later, after the 2007 season, he was fired and replaced with Eastern Washington University coach and former WSU football player Paul Wulff. The Cougars now find themselves at the lowest point in Cougar football history. They have had 3 wins and 18 losses since Paul Wulff has taken over for Bill Doba. On the surface, one might want to blame coach Wulff for the current state of the program, after all, he is the current coach, however, one would have to be narrow-minded and arrogant to believe that most of the blame falls upon the shoulders of Bill Doba. That is why the current state of Washington State football is not Paul Wulff's fault, that Wulff was the right guy for the job, and that I believe that the Cougars will, in a relatively near future, achieve the successes of old under Paul Wulff.

CougCenter CougCenter Bracketology

The final seedings will come out soon, but here's what we got so far. Still time to make up ground.

Buffalo Wild Wings Bracket

1. Nuss- 1102 posts and 9406 comments. A sure fire number one seed and a forced to be reckoned with. If you want to knock him out, go for the jejunum.

2. spencer peaty/peaty411s- Impressive combined resume. Solid numbers all the way around, everything you could ask for from a 2 seed.

3. philkid3- Although baseball seems to be his forte, he has a solid 800 posts to the site. Always seems to add something of value to the conversation.

4. hollyweirdcoug- Surely on the bubble, but will make this first bracket. Pretty good amount of comments, but the amount of posts leaves something to be desired.

What do you think of this?
Awesome! Got the people right and this will be fun

Good idea, but you need to reevaluate the seeds and bubble teams

Crimson and gray, that was one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point during your rambling, incoherent response did you come close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber, fo

CougCenter My WSU Football Experience

Throughout the years, WSU athletics have been a big part of my life. Good or bad, it's always been there for me. When you are as involved and in love with something like this, the whole community becomes apart of your life. I have always wanted to give something back to the WSU community, and here is my attempt at doing so.

We mentioned in the story postseason possibilities. Don’t be too surprised if WSU plays in the CBI, traveling either to New Mexico State, Nevada or the University of Portland in the opening round. We whould find out for sure late Sunday night. Oh, and Colorado State might be a possibility. …

CougCenter Stay Optimistic!

Heres a reason to be optimistic for our future. This quote is from the Wenatchee head coach after last nights playoff game...

“He’s the real deal,” Devereaux said. “I’ve been coaching here for 15 years, and he’s the best quarterback I’ve seen. He reminds me a lot of Drew Bledsoe when he was at Walla Walla in the 80s. He’s a stud.”

Coug fans stay positive! Our coaches no how to recruit Things will get better.
