Fuller and Exum to start spring at CB's
As read on TSL and Andy Bitter Pilot Blog. Fuller and Exum will start the spring at CB and Jarret and Bonner at Rover and FS. I am a bit shocked by this. It looks like Manning will be the nickel corner this spring as well. The Jay going to the draft and Farrow transfering has made us really thin in the secondary. Hopefully one of the youngsters will step up in the spring to sure up some depth. In Bud we Trust.
VT caps 12-2 season with 27-20 victory over Michigan!
I do not care what ESPN will show and how the game will go down in the record books Danny Coale made that catch nothing was there so that it could be overturned. Maybe this will cause David and Jay to come back for one more year. As a Hokie Fan I can deal with a loss we have had our share of heartbreakers but when the guys from the PAC 12 in stripes screw my team I am pissed. Yes we did not play the best game made some mistakes and had some boneheaded calls. Hoping Frank takes the blame for a few of the calls that helped michigan score. I think its time Frank gets a ST Coordinator. My heart goes out to Justin Myer he played a hell of a game on a short note and did great. I think if David and Jayron come back this is going to be a hell of a team. Also both of those guys need to come back. DW needs to work on the concept of losing the battle, i love his fight and attempts to get more yards but tonight it killed us there is a good chance that 3 is 7, also he needs to learn to catch the ball if he developed that next year he would be a top ten pick. Jayron needs to work on his strength and tackling, in the NFL you have to be able to bump and make open field tackles he looked more like himself to night. But go back and think about Brandon Flowers great in bump good tackler and strong. Hopefully they come back im pissed and sober and have to work in the morning good night! Great season guys 1st ever 12 win season! GO TECH GO!

PULLING FOR THE CONFERENCE
What are everyone's thoughts on the OOC games that the ACC has this weekend? Although I am a Hokie fan I will be pulling hard for FSU, Miami, Maryland and Clemson in there games.I feel like as a conference the ACC is always getting smacked by the media because of lack of OOC wins hopefully this weekend can be a turning point for the conference as a whole. GO HOKIES and GO ACC!
ESPN 2012 RECRUITMENT RANKING
I cannot recall a time since I really started to follow recruiting that VT has ever been this high on ESPN''s rankings. I think the highest i have ever seen VT was at #18. Does HokieNation think we could move up further in recruiting ranks?
#15. Keep It Guys Go Hokies!
Shane lands 1st Recruiting Target
In just 2 short months at VT Shane Beamer has landed WR/S Desmond Frye a 6'2 170 4.4 speed target from Thomas Dale in the Richmond Area. Overall this has been a huge week from recruiting and possibly a few more committements by weeks end. I read that our recruiting class last year at this time was 2 to compared to 8 this year! I got a feeling Shane is just heating up with his targets! GO HOKIES!
Should Andrew Lanier be moved to TE?
During spring drills Andrew Lanier is expected to compete with Nick Becton for the LT post. But something in Franks press conference yesterday raised my eyes the moving of Painter to T. As much as I like the guts of Lanier being an undersized OT he did not do a great job last year, he was at best average. If becton and painter stay healthy i feel that they will both surpass Lanier on the depth chart. My thought with the depth at TE, Lanier should slide over and become a beast blocking TE. The mismatches he could create against LB and DBs would be to our advantage. The only worryis Laniers hands? well he was brought into VT back in 07 as a TE so that should be little worry, but still its a worry. anyone else have thought ont his?
Former VT standout Cornell Brown expected to Join Staff.
Kyle Tucker is reporting that former VT All american Def. Lineman and Super Bowl champion Cornell Brown will be hired to the VT Staff. Brown is a native of Lynchburg as documented in Tuckers article his committment to VT in the early 90's was somewhat of a change in recruiting in VA. If the hire comes to fruition this will be the 2nd 30 something hired in as many days. Appears this maybe a spring of change in Blacksburg. Does anyone think that other moves could be made before spring practice begins?
Winning doesn't matter Snake Oil gets you top ten recruiting class
After yesterday something occured to me prior year winning no longer matters in getting top recruits. The Rivals top 10 has 3 teams that finished below .500 in 2010 UGA, Clemson and Texas. Two others USC and ND barely had seasons to brag about . I know tradition matters and recently 4 of these programs are winners and likely will win big again. So what are these schools who are losing and getting top prospects doing that VT is not doing? what Snake Oil are they selling 17 and 18 year old kids? what are HokieNations thoughts?
Boise State Game possibly moved to opening weekend.
Just read an article on SI Sports about how they are projecting the VT-BSU game to be moved from early October to the opening game in september. Anyone else not feeling this move and the game should be kept where and when it was originally scheduled or if the date is moved then VT force the game into Lane in September instead of fed ex field? As a VT fan it always is good to get early primetime exposure, but regardless this game will be a headline game.
