Mine is easy. Growing up in Northwest Indiana (and still living there) my dad was a Dolphins Fan because of Bob Kuechenberg.

I guess "character issues" really don't matter.

A little history about the term "blindside" and why the LT was the most important position on the OL ...

You are correct 54. The game has changed.
Commented on How Important is the Left Tackle Position in the NFL? on Jun 10 2013, 5:30p - 1 reply
Every team has high draft picks on the OL. Most teams in general are built in rounds 1-3 so that's not surprising.
Commented on How Important is the Left Tackle Position in the NFL? on Jun 10 2013, 5:28p
Hardly any team has the same OL two years in a row.
Commented on How Important is the Left Tackle Position in the NFL? on Jun 10 2013, 12:00p
A LT isn't as important as they used to be and now no more important than the other line positions.

Simple question: Does heart, desire, drive show up on occasion or are they always there?
Commented on Worried about the Dolphins chemistry? Don't be. on Jun 7 2013, 2:57p - 2 replies
We aren't talking about relationships and love on a personal level. We are talking some abstract presence on a football field.
Commented on Worried about the Dolphins chemistry? Don't be. on Jun 6 2013, 5:24p - 1 reply
I'm not making it an absolute. I'm saying that it doesn't exist, it can't be measured so therefore it isn't a factor.
Commented on Worried about the Dolphins chemistry? Don't be. on Jun 6 2013, 4:13p - 2 replies
This is the whole point right here about "chemistry" ...
Commented on Worried about the Dolphins chemistry? Don't be. on Jun 6 2013, 1:05p - 1 reply
I never said I don't agree with the definition or that it doesn't exist with relationships.

CP10 took Miami to the playoffs because he was the 2nd rated passer in the league.
Commented on Worried about the Dolphins chemistry? Don't be. on Jun 2 2013, 5:52p - 3 replies
What you call "chemistry" I call practiced execution, therefore it doesn't exist.
Commented on Worried about the Dolphins chemistry? Don't be. on Jun 2 2013, 5:43p - 3 replies
On a football field it is a myth. I'm sure there are plenty of bad QB's who felt they had "chemistry" with certain players on their offense.
Commented on Worried about the Dolphins chemistry? Don't be. on Jun 2 2013, 5:26p - 1 reply
The coaches on offense are assigning production levels to position based on reasonable expectations.
Commented on Impact: Gibson or Keller? on Jun 2 2013, 5:11p - 1 reply
It is a shame and that is exactly how teams should look at Hartline.
Commented on Impact: Gibson or Keller? on Jun 2 2013, 5:02p - 1 reply
Lol. I don't know of any coach in any league that trusts his fate to the mythical force of "chemistry"
Commented on Worried about the Dolphins chemistry? Don't be. on Jun 2 2013, 4:15p - 2 replies
Bad players and bad teams have so called "chemistry" too. They practice too.
Commented on Worried about the Dolphins chemistry? Don't be. on Jun 2 2013, 4:09p - 2 replies
That is exactly what they do ...
Commented on Impact: Gibson or Keller? on Jun 2 2013, 3:57p - 1 reply
It's amazing how good players have "chemistry" and bad players don't.
Commented on Worried about the Dolphins chemistry? Don't be. on Jun 2 2013, 3:44p - 3 replies
I can tell you for a fact that coaching staffs in the NFL are figuring out how many points they need to score this year and how they are going to do that.

Brady throws a perfectly timed pass to Welker because they practice that timing.
Commented on Worried about the Dolphins chemistry? Don't be. on Jun 2 2013, 2:40p - 1 reply
What you are describing is practice not chemistry. That's coaching and talent.
Commented on Worried about the Dolphins chemistry? Don't be. on Jun 2 2013, 12:57p - 2 replies
There are going to be minimal levels of production for any team. Miami basically performed to those minimal levels last year, hence 27th in scoring.
Commented on Impact: Gibson or Keller? on Jun 2 2013, 12:45p - 1 reply
By your approach then, past performance doesn't matter, stats don't matter.
Commented on Impact: Gibson or Keller? on Jun 2 2013, 12:32p - 1 reply
I agree, Gibson will be more productive than Hartline.
Commented on Impact: Gibson or Keller? on Jun 2 2013, 11:38a - 1 reply
Rushing TD production wasn't average last year. It was very good. Miami has to maintain that level this year.

I think coaching and talent are everything.
Commented on Worried about the Dolphins chemistry? Don't be. on Jun 2 2013, 11:22a - 2 replies
I've said it before in other posts, Miami needs to score 1 more TD per game just to be an average scoring offense.

Miami needs at least 25+ TD rec to be a good offense.

It's is a very good point about Ireland picking up a lot from his grandfather. After all, his first 4 drafts he selected players that would have fit in perfectly in the 1980's!! Lol

Robbie was a cheap ass bastard. The only reason why he built his stadium, in the middle of nowhere at the time, was to make even more $$$.

Cheap ass Joe Robbie wouldn't pay Czonka, Kiick, and Warfield. They left to make a ton more $$$ in the WFL.

It was a problem. Martin let a lot of rushers get to his chest, negating his reach advantage, which allowed him to get bull rushed effectively.

I did play LT and I coached OL in college. I went to OL coaching clinics taught by some of the best OL Coaches back in the day.
Commented on Jonathan Martin excited to be on left side of Dolphins' line on May 26 2013, 10:21p - 1 reply
Let's say the OL is worse this year but Miami scores more TD's as an offense because they have better skill position players.
Commented on SUTTON gets negative?!?! on May 26 2013, 9:13p - 1 reply
But the foundation of the offense isn't the OL any longer.
Commented on SUTTON gets negative?!?! on May 26 2013, 9:09p
My point is that Tannehill will succeed or fail based on his abilities only just like every other QB that has ever played.
Commented on SUTTON gets negative?!?! on May 26 2013, 8:58p - 1 reply
There is a certain amount of strength, size, athleticism, and technique that is required to be an OL player.

It's a myth that a QB gets hit on every play.

But even with a shit OL, a QB is still clean 5 out of every 6 times he throws the ball.

IF Miami wins those 3 games (Ind, Ten, Buf), they will have won 6 straight. Teams that win 6 straight in the NFL are a force to be reckoned with.

Just to clarify my OL stance. I have no problem with good teams and good offenses spending late 1st round picks on OL.
