2007 University of Illinois graduate. Loves all things Cubs and Wrigley Field. I'm a fan and I'm a girl but I'm not just a fangirl. The only pink I hat I own is because I received it from a giveaway. I'm just a tiny bit obsessed with baseball and I'm okay with that. Favorite players include Derrek Lee, Aramis Ramirez, Reed Johnson, Ted Lilly, Randy Wells, Carlos Marmol, Ryan Dempster, Koyie Hill, and Carlos Zambrano. Also love to read, write, listen to music and watch movies in my spare time.

Cubs Unveil New Marketing Campaign
The new slogan is "It's a Way of Life" and will highlight signature Cub traditions. Fans can also submit stories explaining how Cubs baseball is a way of life to them and can win the opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Personally, I wasn't too into the Year One thing. It didn't make sense and to tell you the truth, I was a little bit jealous of the ads airing on the other side of town. I think the marketing department has done a good job with this idea and I like how the W flags are incorporated. Now if we could just get one of those...
Marlon Byrd Takes Over Blogging Duties
Per Carrie Muskat, Marlon Byrd will be the new team blogger. His first entry should be posted sometime today and his blog will be entitled "The Byrd's Nest."
Millar Time Helping the Cubs
Nice little article about how Millar seems to be keeping the guys loose and mixes well with them. They certainly appear to be having fun so far this spring training.
Also of notable importance: confirmation on Randy Wells' twitter account. It's mentioned in the article - I know dat_cubfan_daver has been concerned about its legitimacy :) (Don't click it though, just trust me on this bit of info)
Steve Goodman Could Get Post Office Honor
The Lakeview post office near Irving Park & Southport -- the closest PO to Wrigley -- could be renamed for Steve Goodman. A worthy honor.
OT: Ozzie Guillen's on Twitter
MLB hasn't verified it yet but supposedly it's legit. Wonder how Twitter is going to handle bleeping his tweets...
Updated Promotional Schedule
It appears they're still finalizing a few things, ie. Bobbleheads, which don't have a specific player listed yet. It seems to be a lot of the same type of giveaways as last year, although it seems to me that there are less than last year. For instance, there are only two bobblehead giveaways as opposed to the four they had last year. And there's no 70s night listed. So maybe they're still hammering out a few details.
Update From Dave Kaplan on Wrigley Changes
This has a few more things than we've seen from other writers - Kaplan says he took a tour of Wrigley recently.
