Cubs PRE-Pregame Thread-Cards vs Cubs Game 3

The PRE-Pregame feature is back up. The Cubs have a chance to win this series-it may not seem like it after yesterday's game, but they can still take 2 of three. That is always the important thing: win series.

Tonight, the Cubs have Dempster taking the hill (12-5, 2.93 ERA). The Redbirds have Chris Carpenter going (0-0, 1.00 ERA). It will be interesting to see how Carpenter fares tonight, aginst this potent Cubs lineup. Hopefully, we can fly that "W" flag after the game. For those of you who don't know, tonight's game is on ESPN. First pitch 7:05 CT.

Wrigley Field Tour

Quite a show last night, huh? That was amazing! We lost power twice. The Cubs lost, but I think people payed more attention to the weather than to the game.

I am going to a Wrigley Tour on Thursday. It sounds nice (access to clubhouses, press box, bleachers, dugouts, bleachers). Has anyone else been? Are you allowed onto the field? Any other tidbits of info before I go?

I am going to my first game of the season otday.

OT: iTunes ringtone on BlackBerry

I created a "Go Cubs Go" ringtone on iTunes, and wanted to use it for my BlackBerry. Is there a way to do this. I would think that there would be, but I don't know. Again, I have a iTunes ringtone that I want to put onto my BlackBerry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PRE-Pregame Thread: Pirates vs Cubs Game 1

What a wonderful sweep! I had really been hoping for 3 of 4, but I was shocked when we swept! Let's hope that we continue this against Pittsburgh.

After thinking about it, after today, I will only post PRE-Pregame threads for night games (unless anyone has major objections) EXCEPT for "big" series (Brewers/Cardinals, etc.). Al, if you have any objections, please feel free to post. These seemed to work well for the Brewers series, and so I thought I'd continue them, and see what happens.

Let's see what Marquis shows up today "good Marquis-or "bad" Marquis? Hopefully the former. Once again, after today, the next RE-Pregame thread will be on Monday vs Houston-if I remember! If I don't anyone else can post it if they would like.

Yet another nice win yesterday-Demp was phenomenal, the offense scored runs, defense was good-a great win. Today, I really have a feeling that the Cubs will win today. Harden will go out and pitch yet another great game, and the Cubs will finally score some runs for him.

Note: Coincedence or no, every time I have posted a PRE-Pregame Thread, the Cubs have won. Granted, the only reason I have done it is for the Brewers series, but should I continue posting these past today? Answer in the poll below....

I know this is early, but I will be gone this afternoon. Anyway, yesterday was a good win for the team. The offense looked like the Cubs offense of the first half, Z was dominant, and the Cubs guaranteed a series split. The Cubs have Dempster going tonight, and they should be able to win tonight.

OT: Where will the ESPN broadcast be blacked out (if at all)?

Let's get a series win tonight.... Go Cubs!

This is probably a little bit early, but I thought there would be some that wanted to talk about tonight's game a tad bit early.

Tonight's matchup is a toss up: Zambrano vs Sheets. This has potential to be a great pitching matchup. Zambrano is 11-4, while Sheets is 10-3. Like I said yesterday, I was hoping for a 3/4 Cubs series win. With yesterday's win, the Cubs only have to take 2 of 3 for that to happen. Have a good afternoon, and get ready for a great game tonight!

This is for anyone who is just itching to talk about the game tonight before the pregame thread comes up. I don't know if very many people are "around", but I thought I'd post this just for those who are interested. This is going to be a very fun series... hopefully the Cubs come out on top! I think it is very important that they got that 1 game lead back yesterday. If all goes well, they should have a 3 game lead at the end of the series (that would mean taking 3 of 4.... certainly doable).

Cubs souvenirs

I am going to a Cubs game in early August against Houston, and I love to buy souvenirs. I was going to buy a t shirt and a hat, or maybe 2 t shirts. So, I have 2 questions....

1) Where are some cheap vendors/stores at or around Wrigley to buy shirts, etc.

2) Whose t shirt should I buy? I have a road Kosuke shirt, a alternate blue Soriano, and a navy road Lee. I was thinking about maybe getting a Zambrano, a Harden, or a Ramirez. Any suggestions. I am going to post a poll, but please also comment on your opinion (pick an option in the poll, then provide reasoning.) Thanks!

What are the top ten things to do at Wrigley Field

I am going to the August 5th game against the Astros (more than likely the only game of the season). I love Wrigley Field, and I was wondering what the top ten things to do at Wrigley Field are. Obviously, I am going to see the Ernie Banks statue. I also love to take pictures. What are some good things to take pictures of? Obviosuly, the marquee, field, etc. But some of you may have lesser know things that are part of Wrigley's history.

By the way, tonight's Brewers/Cards game is on ESPN (6 CDT)
