Alex Bono named to TopDrawerSoccer's Second All-Freshman Team

Was also on College Soccer News's First Team. I'm admittedly a soccer hater, but damn was this kid fun to watch during the tournament. Definitely won me over to follow closely for the next 3 years and beyond.

Rothstein says Cuse is better than IU or Duke

SU Soccer: Bring on the Hoyas

Orange trailed VCU 2-0 on the road and rallied to win on Louis Clark's goal in the 108h minute to win 3-2. It's our second all time NCAA Soccer Tourney win after the win over Cornell the other day. Up next: Who else? Georgetown, on Sunday in DC.

Please tell me we won't pull this next fall: WVU didn't update their jerseys and had to black out the Big East patch on the back. Looks like they don't want to spend money after paying that wild exit fee to get out a year before us.

Carrier Dome will host 2015 East Regional

Always a good boost for the city and region, but I always prefer to see us able to play in the East region. Easy for me to say as a non-CNYer, though.

Places with power to watch the game this weekend

I figured we might as well have a thread for everyone to make plans ahead of time. I would be stunned if I or most of the businesses in our area (near Morristown, NJ) had power, cable or internet...

Mobile Site

I'm just kind of wondering if I'm the only one in this boat regarding seeing the site on a smart phone...Whenever I look at this site on my Android the Browser automatically closes itself. It's a...

What happens to the SU-ND series?

Prior to today's announcement we already had a 4 game series with the Irish from 2014 to 2017 alternating between MetLife and South Bend. Notre Dame's move, it's already been confirmed, will impede...

Effect of Notre Dame addition on possible new ACC programs

Posted this over on Nunes but it kind of got buried amidst the hoopla following Notre Dame's announcement. I want to hear Suxa's (and anyone else's) take on what the effect it would have on other...

Chandler's first day

Titans have been double teaming him right off the bat. Stuffed Chris Johnson (talk about a guy disappearing after a pay day). Just had another as I type this. Last drive he stripped Locker in the...

NJ Transit Secaucus Junction-Meadowlands Shuttle info

Just in case your car is broken or, you know, doesn't exist.

Parking and Related Shenanigans at MetLife

Despite living not too far from the Meadowlands, the USC game will be my first adventure to the new stadium since I've been in Syracuse every fall since it was been built. So screw it, I'm still...

Rob Murphy leaving EMU after one year for a position with the Magic

It's unclear if it's a scouting gig or an assistant coaching job, but if it's a scouting one is it really a better job than what he has?

Patriots Facebook page's first picture put up is Chandler in game action for the first time. He...

Patriots Facebook page's first picture put up is Chandler in game action for the first time. He finished his day with 2 tackles, as did Will Allen and Steven Gregory, who also had an INT and another pass deflected in his Pats debut.

NCAA Fines Mick Cronin Over "Profanity", Continues to Prove They're a Joke

I mean....seriously? Unless he was threatening to kill the refs' children or something, what the hell could he have said that was worse than anything every other college coach, Boeheim included, screams at officials? What are the odds Coach K will ever be fined for "profanity"? And what takes them five months to levy a fine for it?!

SU alum Natalie Mastracci helps Canada to women's eight silver and other news from London

Very Hypothetical Situation Regarding Scheduling and Penn State

We're currently scheduled to play the Nitts in New York's College Classic in New Jersey in 2013. I highly doubt we'll see a death penalty at Penn State, especially one enacted by the NCAA. But...

Mark May on SportsCenter

I know this is kind of rehashing old garbage, but he's on TV droning on and on about how people at Penn State sat on information about a child predator and didn't bring it to the proper...

Homecom...err, Orange Central will be Nov. 8-11

Weekend of the Louisville game. Wish they had been able to schedule it like they did last year where they squeeze in a football and basketball game into the same weekend. At least I'll be able to make a grand return to Chuck's to watch the game against San Diego State.

SU alum's Bryant Park flash mob wedding proposal

Craig Jones is an '08 grad, his new fiancee Allison an '06 grad. Would've been boss if he had gotten SUMB to do the band part, but still cool nonetheless. However, Doug Gottlieb and Dana O'Neill have doubts about their future. Since the proposal took place in Manhattan, Craig has never made a true road wedding proposal. St. John's fans are outraged that nobody paid attention to their flash mob proposal in NYC. If either of them read TNIAAM by any chance, congrats!
