I found SB Nation at a crossroads in my sports fandom career, a time when I was frustrated for being unable to converse intelligently and comically with fellow fans of my favorite teams. Born and raised in Iowa, I became a passive Hawkeye fan in high school....and then BHGP happened to me. BHGP inspired a new fanaticism for the Hawkeyes and the crazy blog that is BHGP. With a mom from Minnesota some of my favorite vacation memories are sitting with relatives watching Vikings' games. I've been a fairly rabid Vikings fan for as long as I can remember (though 1998 and 2009 produced great periods of mourning) and DN has a sense of camaraderie.
