What's your favorite team other than the Chiefs?

Ok, I know that it's blasphemy to suggest that you like any team other than the Chiefs, but I'm curious and looking for some conversation - what's your favorite team other than the Chiefs? I have to admit that I have a soft spot for the Eagles - McNabb is one of my favorite players (although I have honestly no idea why), and their defense under Jim Johnson (RIP) was always incredibly entertaining to watch.

So what's your favorite (non-KC) team?

Going to my first Royals game tonight... Tips on the K?

Hey folks,

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, feel free to delete it if so... I just moved to KC a couple of weeks ago from Lawrence and I'm going to my first live Royals game tonight - anything special I should know about parking/traffic/the stadium etc? I've been to a few Chiefs games and I'm guessing the traffic won't be as bad, but how early should we show up? Do people usually tailgate or anything before the game? What's the best food to eat at the stadium (and is it massively overpriced like Arrowhead? :))

Go Royals!

Should the Chiefs try to trade for Cutler?

Now that Cutler is officially on the trading block, should the Chiefs give McDaniels what he originally wanted and trade Cassel for Cutler?

My response is fuck and no. Cassel seems like a good kid with a fairly level head on his shoulders, while the last few weeks have exposed Cutler for what he really is - a crybaby prima donna with massive entitlement issues. It's one thing to get pissed when you think your team is trying to trade you, it's completely another to ignore and rebuff them when they're trying to show good faith and mend fences with you.

There's no doubt that Cutler is a proven QB and very likely a much better player than Cassel, but it's clear that his massive ego needs to be continually massaged in order to keep him happy. Thankfully the new Chiefs regime is 100% team first, and I could never see them trading someone like Cassel for someone like Cutler.

According to Peter King of SI.com, the final terms of the trade between the Chiefs and the Patriots include the movement of both quarterback Matt Cassel and linebacker Mike Vrabel in exchange for a second-round pick.

As a practical matter, then, the connection of Vrabel to the deal decreases the likelihood (in our view) of a third team crashing the party and bagging Cassel.

Meanwhile, we're hearing rumblings that the Buccaneers are the undisclosed mystery team, and that if they can't land Cassel they'll make a play for quarterback Tyler Thigpen, the incumbent starter in Kansas City.

"Shaun Hill's got better numbers as a quarterback, sure. But he was handed the keys to the Mike Martz offense. Tyler Thigpen has been handed the keys to the Herman Edwards offense. It is slightly less explosive. If the Mike Martz offense is a Porsche, the Herm Edwards offense is an AMC Gremlin with boots on three of the four wheels and six homeless guys living inside."
