Falcoholic Time Capsule
Just as the Falcons are building up for the future, I've had a thought on future Falcoholic readers. Being here regularly here since only last season, I've learned a lot from the long time fans; to be honest, I saw for the first time what Fulton County stadium looked like here. So, I propose a sort of time capsule so that future readers (maybe 25, 50, perhaps 100 years later) can take a look in it and learn some of our greatest achievements, horrible memories, or just plain crazy stuff that has happened with the team, or the Falcoholic itself. What image, date, event, actual physical object, etc. do you wish to put in?
My contributions: My grandma's Falcons Favre jersey and December 11th, 2007, the day we tuned to Sports Center and saw this.

PETA demands Vick submit to a Brain Scan
I searched Vick in Google news to learn more about the rumors of him going to the Niners and found this on the first page. This has ought to be one of the craziest stories I have ever read in a while. If Vick comes here to California, they're going to eat him alive. Hell, PETA spearheaded their crazy anti dairy milk movement here. NOTE: read the comments section of the story; depending who you are, you would find this part pretty funny to read.
Bucs fire Gruden
These past 6 years I had grown to loath him, but for the sake of my humanity, I believe he didn't deserve this.
Sun may set on #56
He's been through it all in his eleven year career; the "Dirty Bird" days, the departure of Taylor Smith, Reeves, and Mora, and a number of forgettable seasons. He has piled up at least nine-hundred tackles, and represented us in Hawaii five times. But there is no hiding it anymore; his days in Atlanta might be numbered.
Living out here in Sacramento, it can be difficult to follow how well the defensive players play on since I have to get most of my info second hand (through Sports Center, Falcoholic, etc). I admit, I was in a state of denial when some say when Brooking was in decline, at least until I saw Tavaris Jackson slip away easily from him, avoiding that easy sack. Then, as we all saw, got the bad end of a Stephen Spatch highlight catch cause well, he was somewhere else.
To add salt to the wound, this came up in Adam Schefter's NFL.com blog link
For many like me, it can be very painful to see their favorite players decline right before their eyes. Sadly, Brooking may not be able to be there when Matty Ice, Turner, Smitty, and everyone else (hopefully someday) hold up the trophy. But what happened in Arizona will not tarnish all what he has done for the team, and the city of Atlanta. I see nobody wearing #56 in the future as he will be in the Ring of Honor, cause he will have my 100+ votes.

Saints or Lions, which one?
My next door neighbor, a die hard saints fan (still has the same 26 year old paper bag he wore during the 'Aints days), has been really hyping himself up for the upcoming Saints and Lions game. If the NO loses, he's very likely gonna lose it, which would make me very happy. But witnessing a winless team would be something to see.
Would I rather see the Lions pursue to make history?
or
Watch the Saints be humiliated by a win less team for my own guilty pleasure.
Tough Call. What do you think?

Anatomy of a Bucs' Basher
Is it natural? Or is there a logical reason to why a lot of us fans, including of the Saints and Panthers, have an extreme distaste of the Buccaneers and maybe even their fans? I like to talk trash on fans of the Saints and Panthers. But in the end, I respect the rivalry between our team and theirs. Hell, I am always willing to give a handshake and a pat on the back to go along with "good game." Buc's,............ different story. There is something about them that just makes mine and a lot of other's skin crawl.
As of right now, the only logical reason i can think of is the fact that they popped into our division when the South was formed and caught THE trophy the first year.

Crumpler Jersey: don it or not.
Sup falcoholics,
I'm going to need your honest opionion for this one. A friend of mine who lives in Augusta hopes to go to a Falcons game someday. He would really like to wear the only jersey he has to a game. The problem is that it's Algernon's. He's been a Falcons fan for like 20 years and Alge's his all time favorite player. So much that he bought an authentic one ($250!!!). He asked for what I thought on it and I said he could. I know that the Great 08' Roster Cleansing made some of the commonly worn jerseys (the 21's, 28's, 83's) feel a little old, especially for these times, but I think Alge in my heart will always be a Falcon, even if he wins a ring with the Titans. Do you believe that he could show up in the Dome with a Crumpler jersey on or not? Hypothetically Warrick's? (screw #21)

Don't Forget To Vote For 2008 Falcon Ring Of Honor
Hey guys, dont forget to vote for the 2008 inductee to the falcon's ring of honor. I am too young to remember any of them, but i am sure there are a lot of old-school fans here that watched them and might want to get their vote out.
Choices are: Gerald Riggs, Mike Kenn, and Claude Humphrey
Who do you guys think should be in for this year?
