When have the Bills become so secretive? It is very disturbing as a fan...

I have a hard time remembering a time period that the Bills were not secretive and not open to fans or media about their business than I have seen in the last 14 months.    This all started with...

Chris Brown on Buddy Nix's return to Buffalo 1/26/09

2

From the sounds of the article is that Buddy didn't have much input in the past draft this April considering that he came in January. However, I am sure he had to help put his stamp of approval on a few of the players we choose at that time. Considering his past, it sounds like he would be a reasonable candidate if and only if he is now Modrak and Guy's boss and has final decisions on player personnel decisions. What I am not sure about is his ability to hire a Head Coach for us.

Bills possible 1st Round Draft Choice commits to 2010 Draft

Good News Bills Fans... Anthony Davis from Rutgers will be entering the draft this year as a Junior. Here is what his coach has to say about him: "Anthony's going to do very well at the combine," Rutgers coach Greg Schiano said. "He's so athletic for anybody, forget big or small. But then throw in the fact that he's 320 pounds -- he's an incredible athlete."

Kelly: Bills should target Tebow; He wants to be part of ownership

17

I am a big fan of Jim Kelly not only what he did on the field for the Bills in our glory years, but for the type of ambassador he has been for his foundation and even more so for his continued support and passion for being a Bills Fan like us and wanting to see our team return to their glory days. I proposed back a month ago that the Bills needed Kelly in their FO as a consultant for their next QB draft choice http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2009/11/5/1114975/rumblings-draft-scouting#23930581 Now it is nice to read this article by Jim Corbett in the USA Today with Kelly commenting on who he believes should lead the team from the QB position in the future. I certain don't know how much "expert analysis" Kelly did for making that statement about Tebow. But one thing I do trust and respect about his analysis is that Kelly can probably measure a QB's tenacity and heart for wanting to lead a team and be successful... Tebow might not have all the best mechanics in the world, but the guy is tough as nails, and has proven to be a winner in the games toughest conference in college football. Plus the fact that he is another Floridian QB and not someone we try from Cally. Also if Jim is such a passion fan/consultant/supporter of Wilson and the Bills franchise, I'd have no problem having him run our team and keeping them in Buffalo for the long term. He is probably the most vocal and best person to lead this effort for keeping the Bills in the future. The guy loves Buffalo and for that I am THANKFUL for Jim Kelly and his passsion for the fans of the Buffalo Bills and our community. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

La Canfora: Bills say Edwards is ready after the bye

4

Expect to see QB Trent Edwards back on the field for the Bills. And soon. Edwards, who has missed the last two games after suffering a concussion, is expected back when the Bills return from their bye week, a team source tells NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora. Edwards has been progressing well and performing better in cognitive testing and should resume full practice soon. Ryan Fitzpatrick had been starting in Edwards’ absence, leading the Bills to a 1-1 record in his two starts. He has completed 51.4 percent of his passes for 356 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. Edwards went down with the concussion in a Week 6 win over the Jets. He has thrown for 985 yards, five touchdowns and six interceptions with a 59.5 completion percentage. Like this was not to be expected. Sorry Fitzy... you did not do near enough to keep your job. Wait until Trent gets hurt again. Also, why is DJ's Monday news conference taking so long to post or happen?

Brady Quinn's house for sale today in Cleveland...

13

Looks like Brady is getting ready for a trade with the NFL Trade deadline coming up in a few weeks. Believe me I am not getting my hopes up that he comes to Buffalo. However, the Bills got a first hand look at the rookie last year in Buffalo when he beat us on that Monday night game and the Bills just watch him this past weekend get a$$ splinters figuring they might be able to swing a "cheap deal" or do something to fork over Roscoe Parrish and Ryan Fitzpatrick to them. I'm just saying...

"Bills Planning and Designs are Flawed" NFP - Lombardi

14

It sure does seem that this is a lot of our troubles in the past decade. Donohue, Levy, Brandon all couldn't get the right head coaches, players, system, etc... It will be interesting to see if we ever can get a strong football mind running the ship again in Buffalo. Polian, Butler, even AJ Smith were the last we've seen of this type.
