I am pleased to announce that I am making my annual pilgrimage to Mile High for the game against the jags this weekend. Since I only make it out to one game per year I am not really in touch with the Denver fanbase and tailgating etc. I was just wondering if any of the MHR faithful will be around to share a beer with, or if anyone has some great advice on specific places to go or people to meet before the game starts. Let me know if you have any info

reading each recap of the game makes me tingly all over again. i cannot remember another game that was as exciting for me personally as yesterday's. after being embarrassed twice by SD last year and the complete lack of class that their team showed, i was more emotionally invested in this game than any other in recent memory. i am unable to put into words the way this redemption feels and that is why i love this team and this sport so much. right now i don't care about the analysis or x's and o's of the game or upcoming games, i just want to revel in the best win in a long time and smile each time i think about it. no matter how this season turns out i can look back on this game for a long time and be happy.

I was reading an article from the SB Nation colts page here about some AOL writer trashing Shanahan. In the middle of the article it said that he cheated to win the Broncos Super Bowls. It said that he used some tricky tactics to circumvent the salary cap but gave no specifics. I have never heard these allegations before and I was just hoping that someone could shed a bit of light on them for me.

My First Broncos Game Ever

This is the time of year when I start to plan which broncos game I will attend. I now live in Utah and I am a full time student (broke) so I only get out to one game each year. Checking out the dates and the opponents and trying to choose which game will be the most fun is always tough, but the good thing about is that it will be a blast no matter what. I always end up thinking back to my first Broncos game ever...

I don't remember how old I was, but it must have been 7 or 8. My family had a friend who was a golf pro that knew several of the broncos players, and she was able to get my dad and I tickets. We went to meet her to get our tickets and she was with a GIANT. I remember that one of his legs was about the same size as all of me. It was broncos tight end Clarence Kay. I could barely look at him he was so intimidating, but he gave us our two tickets and said he would look for us at the game. He was so big and so nice and I will never forget it. He talked to my dad for a few minutes and left me with an autograph. I painted my face orange and blue and screamed the whole game.

I don't remember who they played or even if the broncos won, but I have been hooked ever since. Every game is fun, but I don't think I will ever top the feeling of my first Broncos game ever with my dad. As next season begins and you are trying not to have a heart attack during the game, take a moment to remember why you love the Broncos. It isn't always about the winning...
