Field Gulls '09 Seahawks are like unto a plague of locusts. Discuss.

Following the jump, you'll see what I wrote on my Facebook page this evening. I thought it might be worth sharing with the Field Gulls community. I wonder whether James Cameron would be interested in turning the concept into a $700M, 4D movie that would re-change the way we watch movies...forever!

Poll
Are the 2009 Seahawks a 17-year plague of locusts?
Yes, clearly this is the case. This explains how Darryl Tapp was able to extend his mandibles beyond his constricting facemask to bit Aaron Rodgers' arm.

No, of course not. Only dirtbags spit tobacco juice, and this Seahawks team doesn't have any dirtbags.

Yes, and like the saving seagulls who devoured the locusts plaguing the Utahn plains in 1848, the 2010 Seahawks will swoop down and consume the 2009 impostors in an orgiastic act of heroic autophagy.

Field Gulls Scouting report on Nate Ness

I tracked this down for those who want to learn a little about our new pickup, S Nate Ness. It's a mildly intriguing move, I think. More of a coverage guy than an in-the-box defender. He's got your usual Tim Ruskell attributes: defensive captain at Arizona, good locker room/character guy, perceived as a raw project player with upside. I suspect the team just wants to stock up on young safeties so that when they all get dumped on the market on Saturday, at least one clears waivers and makes it to the PS.
