Mavs Moneyball How About this?

Once again I did some Wanna-be GM type stuff
And the ideal trade partner for the mavs would be the clippers.

Dallas gets:Chris Kaman and Ricky Davis

Clippers get: Dust, Shawn Williams, and Barea

I think it would work because Im not that huge of a fan for Barea or Williams. Damp is having a good year but he is a contract whore who stinks it up until his final year then gives you some decent play to think twice before letting him go.

Mavs Moneyball Captain Jack

So Im browsing thru my usual sports websites today, you know insidehoops, nbadraft.net, dallasbasketball.com, realgm, and blah blah blah. abd i read an interesting story on 3 of the above listed sights but majority of it came from the rumors section of insidehoops.com.

Stephen Jackson said that he doesn't want to be a Warrior anymore and honestly can u blame him. I was thinking that the Mavs should make  a play at him at least. I mean like the old saying goes if u cant beat them join them, but they did beat us sadly but thats old news. He wants to play for a championship contending team or a team thats just a few pieces short of a stellar team.

I say we package Buck and some stuff and try to make a deal for him. That would definitely cure our 2 guard problem.

so a starting lineup of:

C-Damp or Gooden (whateva)

F-Drirk

F-Howard

G-Jackson

G- Kidd

sounds and looks good, and I don't think Marion would mind comin off the bench with JET in the backup line lookin like this.

C-Gooden or Jawai(WHateva)

F-Thomas

F-Marion

G-Terry

G- Roddy or JJ

SO is there any way we could get him to slide on to Dallas and add a nice element of toughness which we need aside from a Solid Center.?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=lhvxy5

( My amatureGm way of getting Captain Jack on ESPN's trade machine)

Dallas gets Stephen Jackson

Golden State gets Matt Carroll and Shawne Williams and our Second round pick for next year and some money

(Saves both teams some money in the long run cuz GS definitely aint a contender right now)

Mavs Moneyball Mavs Front Office Sleeping On The Job

The mavs front office seems to be losing steam after getting blind-sided by orlando when they reclaimed Gortat and swiped Bass. We have only made 1 good move and that was acquiring Marion.

Spare me the whole they are gonna do something big(hopefully) or they are saving for the 2010 Summer. I dont believe in windows closing because any team has a shot in any season to be there but Dallas is making it extremely difficult for the devoted fans like myself and the people in this group.

I dont wanna hear how hard their jobs are tryna bring good players her when we lose them and hold assets. Cubes is a millionaire that loves controversy and Donnie comes from a good pedigree of NBA hoops so why cant we string together a good enuff team to compete with LA,DEN,SA(even though we owned them in the playoffs).
I speak for many when I say we are tired of the talking lets get some things going. Every where i read Dallas lost someone they were interested in or they dont wanna talk to teams that are willing for the right price to make a deal.

Mark Cuban, "We Do Not Love Our Team" right now people are tired of being excited about nothing. The draft picks are good but we need to gear up for the present 09-10 season and make ourselves heard and just signing Ross and Marion are not enuff so lets make some things happen?

Go get a SG or C
they should be actively talking to Charlotte and Sacramento about deals for people like Okafor, or Wallace, or Martin or anybody young and hungry please.

Mavs Moneyball Cuttin 2 The Chase

So basically our glorious Dallas Mavs will be facing the Denver Nuggets in the second round because i really do not see SA or NO making a comeback becuz they are damaged goods especially NO after a record breaking 58 point loss ya know. I looked at our season record against the Nuggets and we lost every game but 3 of them we lost by 5 points or less and the other was an off game LOL! So with that in mind what do u guys and gals think the mavs chances are in the second round. I think that the playoffs are a new season so adjustments can be made and we will be ready for them and the MAVS will win in 6

Mavs Moneyball Where Is Stackhouse?

If im not mistaken tey said Stack eould be ready for the playoffs but still he is a no-show, i mean hell u know they are gonna dump his contract at the end of this season so at least make him work for it. I wonder how he would fit into the overall scheme of things especially if he can add that toughness factor that we need. The wheels are in motion and the mavs are really moving and George is done because i dont see how he really helped but hopefully STACK can add a lil something extra off the bench. GO MAVS!
